Happy International Day of Yoga! 🧘♂️✨
Did you know there are over 100,000 yoga teachers in the US, but most are only trained to teach the "first stage of life"? As we cross 40 and 50, standard yoga can actually cause injuries if it's not adapted.
Yoga is meant to evolve with you! To support healthy aging, memory, and brain health, try incorporating these two master breathing techniques into your daily routine:
1️⃣ Bhramari (Bee Breath) – Great for brain health (aim for 5 mins).
2️⃣ Anuloma Viloma (Alternate Nostril Breathing) – Perfect for focus and balance (aim for 5-10 mins).
Interested in specializing in yoga for the 50+ community? Our next online teacher training kicks off in a month!
🌐 Visit SAMATA.com for details.
Om Shanti. 🙏

Friends, SYTAR 2026 is just 3 days away — and I’d love to see you there!
I’ll be leading a live practice session on Modern Yoga for Three Life Stages, drawing on the beautiful teachings of my teacher T. K. V. Desikachar and his father T. Krishnamacharya. We’ll explore what it truly means to practice and teach yoga for those of us over 50 and we’ll talk about what yoga can do to hold off dementia.
With over 100 million Americans over 50, this conversation matters more than ever. Too many yoga classes are designed for the young and restless — but that doesn’t have to be the story.
Join me at SYTAR 2026 and let’s explore this together.
Registration is still open but time is short!

Dear Ones,
I want to share a event I will to be part of.
The Extraordinary Yoga Teacher Summit is a free gathering devoted to supporting yoga teachers in returning to what actually sustains them: depth in personal practice, Steadiness in teaching, and a real relationship with the Wisdom they carry.
It is not a summit about trends, credentials, or building a following. It is about what makes a yoga teacher genuinely trustworthy to their students over time.
I chose to contribute because this gathering is oriented toward those qualities.
My session is titled: Yoga Therapy and Longevity. Keeping Students Safe and Strong.
The summit runs June 6–14, 2026, and is free to attend. I would love for you to be there.
I will be teaching 12:30 EST, 9:30 PST on this Sunday June 7th.
