Welcome to the world of Helliston, where nothing is as it seems and almost everyone is a liar. When money, power, jealousy, and greed are the only things that matter, can anyone survive?

But what if there are many unhappy people trying to take someone down? Can innocence prevail above the terrors inside of insecurity?
Based on the concept delivered by a famous line from Sir Walter Scott's poem Marmion written in 1808, “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive.” Because dishonesty and lies can lead to complex and difficult-to-resolve situations, as one lie requires more lies to maintain the original deception, which creates a complicated entanglement of problems.
See what it’s like to have a vortex of manipulation trying to pull you under. Who will be the one left swimming? Meet the Helliston family and find out. In this first part of the series, we get to know our characters and see who is pulling what strings of power. Daminique Mayor is a private person who has chosen to remain anonymous to protect the innocents, namely her. This Helliston series has a very personal meaning and comes from a place of extreme comfort and knowledge of the characters. And let this be a warning to those who practice deception…sometimes you don’t know who the storyteller will be. If anyone in this series of books resonates with you, our job has been well done.
Of course, these works in the Helliston series are fiction…aren’t they? You can be the judge. For sure, they were inspired by real life events, because you can’t make this stuff up.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Sweetness: A Fairy Tale follows the enchanting life of the beautiful Princess Dulcinea de Rinconia as she explores life outside of the Palace Walls. When she falls in love with the handsome man from town, her sister's jealousy takes over and evil is thrust upon the Kingdom. Filled with excitement, manipulation, and hope, this fairy tale will grip your heart and surprise you with secrets.
This story is loosely based on the life of our Author, Dulcinea Lee Hellings, whose father lived on the island of Puerto Rico for 20 years with her stepmother. He was a skilled architect and built all over the island, eventually finishing with his masterpiece, The Castle of Rincon.
Remember, this is just a fairy tale, however some elements like: cows, goats, castles, villains, lightening, and lies were inspired by real life events.
Enjoy the journey as our sweet Princess dances with danger. Will true love prevail? Can a magic spell be broken? Will good conquer evil? Does happily ever after exist?
