BIG announcement…our founder and master instructor , is having a baby girl🎉😇💕
Congratulations to you and your growing family, Eliza!!!
In preparation, The Ballet Spot will be going on maternity leave beginning April 1st. During this time, our focus will shift to our on demand class offerings.
Stay tuned for more details, but in the meantime, here’s what you can expect:
•Privates will still be offered as will limited live stream and in-person classes during Eliza’s absence.
•If you have a class package, you will have until April 1st to use up those credits. Otherwise, any remaining class packages will be converted for use on demand.
About class package availability:
•10 class packs and auto-renews will be no longer sold beginning February 1st
•5 In-studio class packs will be no longer sold beginning February 15th
•5 live stream packs will be no longer sold beginning March 1st
•Single classes will be available throughout
•Memberships will not be auto-renewed in April

It’s almost that time of year! Nutcracker Season is upon us🥳
Get ready to return to the Land of Sweets for December’s Cardio Ballet combos inspired by different characters and variations from the Nutcracker 🩰
As we turn our attention towards the festivities, we wanted to share some tidbits from In the Land of Sweets to learn more about Act II’s divertissements.
In Act II, we see Clara/Marie and her Nutcracker Prince travel to the prince’s kingdom, the Land of Sweets, where they are greeted by everyone from the Dew Drop Fairy to the Sugar Plum Fairy to Mother Ginger and MORE!
First up, we introduce you to the Spanish dance, sometimes also known as Chocolate. This dance is sometimes performed as a variation, a pas de deux, or even as an ensemble. There is sometimes fan work or castanets involved, and the dancer(s) is presented as a source of entertainment and offering chocolate as a gift.
This dance is typically fiery,m and fast, and Spanish is oftentimes the first character presented to Clara/Marie and her Prince.
