🔆The Palladium Era (1940s–1950s): As Cuban musicians migrated to the United States, styles like Mambo and Cha-cha-chá exploded in popularity in New York City's famous Palladium Ballroom.
🔆The New York Boom (1960s–1970s): The term "salsa" was popularized in NYC by musicians and record labels. Puerto Rican and Cuban immigrants blended these older Caribbean rhythms with American jazz and swing, solidifying the modern salsa we know today.
