This past winter break, our team took on a new challenge - synchronized Zoom practice! For the first time since quarantine began last spring, we committed to a schedule of live practices where archers could log on to Zoom from their hometowns or backyards and shoot with their fellow club members. These practices felt (almost) like being back in person again, and so we’ll be continuing these practices this semester on Fridays at 2 PM and Sundays at 10 AM! THAT MEANS WE START THIS AFTERNOON!!!

When shooting outside of campus, please be mindful of local regulations and health recommendations - while it is important to continue physical activity, we strongly discourage our members from practicing in inside spaces with people outside of your household. We also encourage that if you choose to practice outside at a public range, that you wear a mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you choose to set up a target at home, please mind all safety considerations as recommended by World Archery. Don’t have access to a target for our live practice days? No worries! Log onto Zoom with a stretch band - this is also a perfect time for SPTs and for working on your mental training!

All other practices are the same as last semester - bring a stretch band or your bow to SPT night and bring a yoga mat, water bottle, weights, and stretch band to our team workout! See you on Zoom!

Congratulations to three members of our coaching staff - Alexandra Aloia, Jim MacQuarrie, and Max Zade - for obtaining their Level 4 USA Archery Coaching Certifications! The L4 certification was a challenging 6-week online course that took place during the winter that challenged our coaches to online learning and discussions. In this course, our coaches received training on coaching, communication, sports science in archery, psychology and biomechanics with a large emphasis on the National Training System (NTS).

We are so proud of our coaching staff for their continued efforts to further their knowledge and push themselves as coaches and as individuals - their efforts undoubtedly make this team the strongest archery team USC has ever seen!
