🚛 Goodbye, Hollywood...Hello, Silver Lake!

🗣It is with great excitement we announce that the owners of RATIO CYCLING are the new owners of Hype Silverlake!

❓WHAT IS HYPE?
📣 Hype Silverlake is a group fitness studio a short drive from RATIO CYCLING on Hyperion Ave. It boasts 5k square feet and a parking lot! It has been a neighborhood fitness hub for many years (originally as YAS prior to 2018). Their offerings include cycling, HIIT/strength and yoga.

❓Why now?
📣With RATIO’s lease is expiring at the end of June, we have been actively searching for a new suitable location. In our quest, we discovered the owners of Hype - our sister studio with aligned values and mission - were looking for local buyers to take over operations. The timing and circumstances were just…right.

❓What happens to my membership?
📣Throughout the month of May, it will be business as usual with the class schedule remaining unchanged, however, any scheduled auto-payments scheduled during the month of May will be cancelled.

❓What about my class pack credits?
📣You may continue to use your credits through mid June on the fitDEGREE app or through our website for RATIO CYCLING classes. Any remaining class credits will be eligible to be added to your new Hype account when the transition is complete, mid-June.

🔴 What is the timeline for the move?
📣For the month of May we will continue operations in our current location and, if you find yourself out of classes, we invite you to purchase passes individually at a discounted rate of $15 each, packs of 3 for $30 or 30 days Unlimited for $99.

🟡 Come June 1st, we invite you to join us as we settle in to our new digs at Hype Silverlake. Hype’s existing cycling program will be held outdoors but our classes will be held indoors for RATIO CYCLING clients only.

🟢 On July 1st, both cycling worlds will converge under one roof on the same equipment you are familiar with. Our tribe is growing!

👉In the meantime, check out Hype’s reputation, reviews and schedule. Soon, RATIO CYCLING instructors’ names will be added to the schedule and we hope you’ll sample some of Hype’s amazing talent, too.

WE'RE PACKING UP FOR OUR BIG GLOW-UP! 💅

As you've heard, RATIO CYCLING is moving to Silver Lake and becoming Hype Silverlake! This will be a three-step metamorphosis that starts NOW as we introduce LAST HURRAH pricing!

Effective 2pm on 5/19, all RATIO CYCLING classes will be reduced to $15 per drop in or 3 for $30. We also have a discounted unlimited option valid for 30 days from date of purchase or through June 30th (whichever comes first)!

🦋 3-STEP METAMORPHOSIS:

STEP 1: RATIO CYCLING will continue holding classes at 1306 N. Wilton Place through May 28th.
STEP 2: RATIO CYCLING will reopen on June 1st at 1932 Hyperion Ave and operate indoors for one month.

STEP 3: On July 1st, Hype will resume operations indoors and the RATIO CYCLING brand will be retired.

🚀Let’s face it: your motherboard and yoke is the view you’re MOST concerned with when in class. At RATIO CYCLING, we do our best to demystify the bells and whistles of the display console to ensure you get the most out of your ride. Here is a brief explanation of the data starting from the second number for the top on the left:

⚡️WATTS: the power YOU (yeah, you!) are generating measured in units of energy. (You know watts from their greatest hits like lightbulbs and toasters!) This number is unique to YOU at any given time of class and at no point will your coach demand a certain number of watts because you are a unique snowflake.

⭕️RPM: Revolutions (or rotations) per minute. This measures how many times your pedals make a single revolution. You may or may not be asked to match the beats per minute (BPM) of the song playing. Your coach will never guide you to an excessive RPM range nor require anything so low that you are unable to walk the next day.

💨SPEED: At RATIO CYCLING, this is measured in MPH (miles per hour). Just because you’re riding indoors doesn’t mean you can’t measure how fast you *could* be traveling from point A to point B. Incorporating proper resistance along with an appropriate RPM is key to challenging yourself and improving your split time!
