I have a question for you — and I mean it seriously.

If age, time, money, and health were not issues, what would you love to be, do, or have?

When I first heard that question, I had been a caregiver most of my life. I had buried my mother, my father, my brother, my husband, and my sister Denise. I had spent so long holding space for everyone else that I had stopped asking what I wanted.

That question cracked something open.

This Saturday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m., I am hosting The Power of Vision Workshop — live on Zoom, free, 75 minutes. It is for anyone who has been so busy surviving that they forgot they were allowed to dream.

If something in you stirred just reading that question, this is your invitation.

Your dream did not die. The soul dreams. You decide. Your new life begins. It is your time to shine.

Service shapes a person and a family in ways that are not always visible. Sometimes strength looks like showing up. Sometimes it looks like asking for help, telling the truth, or admitting that the old mission no longer fits. Healing is not a rejection of service. It is an honoring of the life that continues. There is room for grief, pride, uncertainty, and a new purpose in the same heart.

Take a breath and notice what feels true for you today.

You do not have to solve everything at once; one honest step is enough.

Your experience matters, and there is room for your voice here.

Every moment is valuable

Perfectionism, withdrawal, overfunctioning, and staying endlessly busy can all begin as protection. The trouble comes when the protector keeps using yesterday’s map for today’s life. Ask gently: “What were you trying to protect me from? What do you need me to know now?” You do not have to shame the cage to find the door. Understanding is the doorway to freedom.

The soul dreams. You decide. Life begins.

That's not a slogan — it's a sequence. The dream is already there, underneath everything. The decision is yours. And once you decide, life begins. Not when conditions are perfect. The moment you say yes.

What are you saying yes to?

I'm a maker. I cook. I bake. I knit and crochet. I'm learning to paint — not because I'm good at it yet, but because I'm growing deliberately into things that are new.

These aren't hobbies separate from my work. They're the same impulse: building something from raw materials, with patience, with care. Soul Dreams is another thing I'm making.

After years of caregiving and loss, I've learned that the quiet joy of making something is the compass. It points toward what matters.

What are you making? Not what are you doing — what are you making?

Notice what makes you lose track of time.

Joy is not frivolous. It is a signal from the self that wants to come alive.

Follow it. It knows where it's going.
