Arirang Echoes in Los Angeles celebrates the beauty and spirit of Korean heritage through traditional Korean dance and music inspired by the iconic folk melody Arirang. Often considered Korea’s emotional anthem, Arirang reflects the collective sentiments of the Korean people—sorrow, hope, perseverance, and unity—making it a meaningful artistic foundation for this program.
This event is presented in commemoration of the anniversary of the June 10th Independence Movement (6·10 만세운동), and highlights the story of the Korean people, connecting this historic legacy with traditional performing arts.
Celebrates both Korea’s past and its remarkable cultural achievements on October 24 @ Wilshire Ebell Theatre.
