bringing this important conversation back into the light in honor of latinx heritage month because, it be your own people!!! anti-blackness within the latinx community needs to be combatted every 👏🏽 single 👏🏽 day. our culture is so steeped in anti-blackness from the language that’s used to the erasure of the millions of black latinx in media, entertainment and more. the movement for black lives is a global one that requires a life long commitment. it’s not too late to show up better for the black community within your own community. the same white supremacy that erases black latinx people from the conversation is the same sh*t that erases indigenous latinx people too. our struggles are cut from the same cloth. it’s violent, it’s rampant and it needs to be eradicated. shout out to all my fellow blatinx and indigenous centroamericanos. shout out to all my fellow kids of immigrants. i stand on the shoulders of my ancestors before me and i’ll be damned if i don’t do my part to help liberate every single piece of my humanity. 🖤🇬🇹

honored to be a driving force behind the first woman to *ever* grace the iconic la brea billboard. crazy to think that before this week no female had ever been up there (c’mon guys !! but also, see what happens when you hire + include woc in decision making 😉). i’m so thankful to play a role in spreading ’s story, a phenomenal black woman’s story, on our block. she’s not only a us women’s soccer trailblazer, but a pioneer in women’s sports period. she’s the first female goalkeeper AND the first black woman to be inducted into the national soccer hall of fame. i hope that little brown girls will look up at her billboard and be inspired to do and be whatever the hell they so please. i know i am :,) and a special thank you to for bringing us together today! this weekend was magic @ UNDEFEATED INC.

when tapped me to be a core coach for today’s legacy summit, a few weeks ago, i really didn’t know what to expect. fast forward to now and i’m just sort of speechless. today’s event was a reaffirmation of purpose, of intention and so much more when it comes to empowering the next generation of women and girls. i’m forever thankful to not only be a vessel for others, but to be the representation that *i* wish i had as a young girl. a mirror for what’s possible and i hope that it inspires others to take a more intentional approach to the role they play in their own communities. empowered women empower women to be strong, capable and so much more !! thank you thank you thank you . this is just the beginning 💖 @ Los Angeles, California

red nails have always signified dignity, womanhood and confidence since i was a little girl, because of my abuelita. i honestly can’t remember a day i saw her without red polish or even worse... chipped polish which she ALWAYS got on me about. 😝 today is the 4 year anniversary of her passing away and it’s inconceivable to think that much time has flown by. there are few things in life i’m more thankful and honored for than having the privilege of being her granddaughter. a strong, independent mayan woman with humble beginnings from chichicastenango who never gave herself the credit she so rightly deserved for everything she accomplished. i wouldn’t be half the woman i am today without her. i love you forever abuelita linda 🦋🌹
