The first 9 minutes are where you and your partner get to set the workload youโll have to repeat in Part 2! Youโll have 3 minutes at each movement to accumulate as many reps as possible, sharing the work however youโd like. Weโre looking for 140-210 combined reps across all three movements. Thatโll likely mean somewhere around 50-75 wall balls, 40-60 pull ups, and 50-75 power cleans.
We recommend switching before either partner is totally gassed and using small, repeatable sets to keep the work moving. You might trade 10-15 wall balls, 3-5 pull ups, and 5-8 power cleans at a time. Those numbers DO NOT need to be the same for both partners. Call out your reps as you switch and have the resting partner keep track of your running total so thereโs no question about how many youโll need to repeat.
After the 2-minute rest, youโll work back through the movements in reverse order, starting with the power cleans and finishing with the wall balls. The goal is to repeat all of your reps in 8-12 minutes, so donโt let those first couple sets get too ambitious. Keep your breaks short, your transitions between partners quick, and work your way back through one manageable set at a time.
