We always start with a novice and eventually reach the bull’s eye. Every master was once a beginner who never gave up.
Promotion of yoga asana as a sport is helping children grow with strength, focus, discipline, and confidence. Parents should encourage children to practice yoga asana after understanding its many physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Through healthy competition and regular practice, children learn balance, patience, respect, and a positive lifestyle that can shape a healthier future generation.

I still remember how my teacher, Dr. PS Das, guided me through this posture with such intensity and care. At the time, it felt demanding, but over the years I have come to deeply appreciate its profound benefits. This posture supports thyroid regulation, enhances spinal flexibility and strength, improves abdominal and digestive health, and encourages joint mobility even extending its subtle influence to areas like ear health. More than anything, it invites deep relaxation and offers a powerful release from stress when practiced with awareness.
Yet, like all meaningful practices, it asks for respect and caution. It is not suitable during pregnancy, or for those experiencing high blood pressure, or injuries in the back or shoulders. Listening to the body is part of the practice itself.
Beyond the physical, this posture carries a quiet spiritual depth. It becomes a space for self-realisation a moment where effort softens into awareness, and you begin to meet yourself more honestly.
What once felt intense now feels like a conversation between discipline and surrender.

“Padahastasana” hands to feet pose previously in India we learn to stretch using the spine without using strength.
I find this posture ( Asana) reflects humility in the yogic culture. both physically and inwardly.
In this posture, the head naturally bows below the heart. Symbolically, the ego softens. You surrender the urge to stand tall, to be seen, to lead with pride. Instead, you fold, you listen, you yield. Humility here isn’t weakness—it’s willingness.
If you don't know my history I have been practicing yoga in India since childhood before I met Bikram or living in the United States.
Sometimes we make a comment or claim knowing about someone without knowing the source. Specifically now so many resources are available so i am not surprised. I’ve always believed that when you speak from truth, your words don’t need defense. Time itself reveals what’s real.
Ultimately, the pose reminds us: when we bow to the present moment, wisdom flows upward.
