Question for a friend (and fellow martial artist):

My best mate seriously injured one of her knees while training. One year out, she is now post-surgery and the knee is still being slow to mend.

Have any of you been seriously injured to the point of needing surgery? If so, what would you recommend for someone who loves being active but is currently unable to do so? Have any modified activities/resources/words of advice you’d like to share?

If you do know of anything, please comment or PM me and I will pass it along to her.

Thank you all!!

Every year on October 16th, the World Thai Boxing Association (WTBA) celebrates Teacher’s Day. This day is set aside for students to honor their teachers who instruct in the art of Muay Thai by offering flowers, 1 candle, and 3 sticks of incense. This can also include a small amount of uncooked rice (1/2 cup) and piece of fruit.

If anyone is interested in sending Ajarn Chai flowers, they can contact the following local florist in Carson, CA
who is familiar with what is included as a gift for Teacher’s Day:
"Last Minute Florist" at 310.830.5414 or www.whenyouthinkflowers.com
~~~~~
Some of you already know giving to a cancer foundation is special to Ajarn, so if you wish to make a donation in lieu of sending him flowers, feel free to follow this tradition started last year. You may opt to send a card to Ajarn Chai that lets him know you made the donation on his behalf. He will appreciate that others can benefit from your generosity!
