STAR BEER in LA? Seems like a dream but itโs TRUE! Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting May Chioma Odiakosa CEO of Star Beer USA. This force of nature went up against the odds in this competitive market and managed to bring a taste of the homeland here! As I rose through the ranks of boxing to become African Champion, Commonwealth Games Champion and Best Boxer, I always rewarded myself with STAR BEER: beer of the champions! Bringing this bottle to my lips in Los Angeles brought back so many sweet memories. My wife enjoyed her Star beer while visiting Nigeria with me and was thrilled to experience the smooth unique taste again. And my son has been here 4 1/2 years and this taste of the homeland was so sweet for him. He has the heart of a Champion and is about to take his 1st steps, much as is taking its 1st steps rising in the ranks for beer lovers. In years to come, I predict both and will be on peopleโs lips!
Of more than 8,000 breweries in the United States, 60 are black-owned and only 2 are black female-owned. Letโs raise up our beloved Star Beer and encourage Black Female entrepreneurs!!!! Thank you MAY for your persistence and belief! You have the NEVER GIVE UP spirit that it takes to make champions of boxers and entrepreneurs!
