Uncertainty is brewing in the Green Bay backfield.
With unexpected legal issues clouding Josh Jacobs' availability, the Packers are suddenly facing a major question mark at running back.
Jacobs was locked in as the focal point of the ground game, but his current situation might force the front office to re-evaluate the depth chart.
Right now, MarShawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks are the next men up behind Jacobs.
While both have potential, relying on them to anchor the running game for a team with Super Bowl aspirations is a massive gamble.
If Green Bay decides they need a proven insurance policy to support Jordan Love and keep the offense on track, they will have to look at the veteran market.
Exploring a move for an established playmaker like James Conner or Alvin Kamara might become a top priority.
Should the Packers roll with Lloyd and Brooks, or is a veteran addition inevitable?

Von Miller believes he’s playing in the 2026 season.
And he has already been actively lobbying Broncos head coach Sean Payton for a roster spot to finish his career right where it all began.
If you ask Nik Bonitto, he would absolutely LOVE to see the franchise icon back in the building.
Bonitto, who called Von his favorite player ever growing up, is fully on board with the idea of sharing a pass-rush room with the future Hall of Famer.
Honestly, the fit makes a ton of sense.
The Broncos' defense was already elite last season, leading the entire NFL with a massive 68 sacks.
Now, imagine plugging a motivated Von Miller into that rotation as a veteran situational pass rusher and locker room mentor.
Miller noted he wants to bring back those "Super Bowl 50 vibes" and serve as a mentor to help the next generation.
Should Sean Payton and the Broncos pull the trigger and bring Von Miller back home?

A two-time Super Bowl champ is trading his shoulder pads to become a nurse.
Even at a young age, Clyde Edwards-Helaire was always interested in being a nurse.
He has a sister born with muscular dystrophy and his mother worked as a nurse.
He'd even read his mom's nursing books as a kid whenever he had the time.
But of course, his football skills were just too good to leave on the table.
From his college to pro days, Edwards-Helaire had himself a pretty successful football career.
He went to LSU for 3 years and won a national title.
He was taken by the Chiefs with the 32nd pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft.
In 4 seasons, he won 2 Super Bowl titles playing as the team's occasional starting RB.
He looked for a fresh start in 2024 and signed with the Saints practice squad.
Once he saw his playing time diminish, he felt it was the perfect time for him to go back to school.
He'd get another shot at making an NFL roster a season later when he signed with the Chiefs.
But he only got as far as the team's practice squad.
Switching from football to healthcare isn't how most professional athletes envision their retirement plans.
But with how successful his pro career has already been, walking away from football became a lot easier for him.
If he thought he made a big impact on the field.
He's about to make an even bigger impact off of it.

NFL legend Calvin Johnson dropped some REAL advice for the incoming 2026 rookie class.
Johnson says talent alone won’t define these young players once they enter the NFL.
Adversity will.
“It’s going to slap you in the face probably day one.”
That’s the reality of going from college star…to suddenly competing against grown men fighting for contracts, roster spots, and careers every single day.
Megatron’s biggest message was simple:
How do you respond when things go wrong?
Can you bounce back after:
🔹 getting benched
🔹 struggling early
🔹 making mistakes
🔹 dealing with pressure
🔹 getting humbled for the first time
Johnson believes THAT is what truly shapes NFL careers.
He also emphasized the importance of having:
A goal. A plan. And the vision for where you want to be.
Coming from one of the greatest WRs ever, that message hits different.
Now the next generation of WRs like:
🔹 Carnell Tate (Ohio State): [Tennessee Titans] — 4th overall pick.
🔹 Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State): [New Orleans Saints] — 8th overall pick.
🔹 Makai Lemon (USC): [Philadelphia Eagles] — 20th overall pick.
🔹 KC Concepcion (Texas A&M): [Cleveland Browns] — 24th overall pick.
All of them will try to build their own legacy in the NFL.
And as Calvin Johnson said… adversity is coming for all of them sooner or later. The question is who responds correctly.

The trade that sent Christian McCaffrey from Carolina to San Francisco remains one of the more significant player movements in recent NFL history.
During his five-plus seasons with the Panthers, McCaffrey served as the focal point of the offense.
Selected eighth overall in 2017, he put up historic individual numbers even as the team went through various coaching and quarterback transitions.
The move to the 49ers placed McCaffrey into a highly structured offensive system alongside multiple established playmakers.
This transition allowed him to maintain high efficiency while playing a central role in deep postseason runs, including an MVP-caliber season in 2023.
From a career perspective, his time in Carolina established his capability as an elite, high-volume producer.
While his tenure in San Francisco has provided the team success and postseason exposure often factored into Hall of Fame evaluations.
CMC as 49er or CMC as a Panther?

The NFL really was one pick away from a completely different timeline. 👀
Back in the 2017 Draft, the Saints were sitting at No. 11 with a plan: Draft Patrick Mahomes.
And let him sit behind Drew Brees. Then hand him the keys to Sean Payton’s offense.
Sean Payton reportedly flew to Texas for a private workout and came away believing Mahomes was the best QB prospect he had ever studied on film.
But then the The Kansas City Chiefs jumped from No. 27 to No. 10.
Instead of building a dynasty in Kansas City, imagine Mahomes learning behind Drew Brees in New Orleans before taking over.
One draft pick away.
