It’s not QUITE Christmas yet, but in Germany today we celebrate St Nikolaus Day. 🎅🎄 My earliest memory of this day is when I was about 6 years old and my school had us all go on a long walk through the forest.

Of course, it was FREEZING out (December in Germany… you know how it is!). So as we were walking and being kids and excitedly talking about what presents we wanted and how excited we were to eat too much dessert with our families, what we DIDN’T realize is the lesson that we were learning…

That lesson is that while we may have hated the walk through the forest on a cold day if we were ALONE, TOGETHER we were able to get through it. With excitement, with momentum, and without stopping. 💪

We all need each other to help us along the way, to support us when we are feeling weak and to encourage us to keep going when the going gets tough. And that is what Saint Nicolas Day is all about – remembering that we are all in this together, and that we need to support and take care of each other.

When it comes to health and fitness, this lesson is particularly relevant. We all know that maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be challenging, and it is easy to feel like we are going it alone. But the truth is, we all need support and encouragement from others to help us stay on track and reach our goals.

It’s NOT a coincidence that I get to share so many amazing results of my clients here on IG… it’s because they’ve committed not ONLY to themselves, but they’ve committed to being held accountable, being supported by a team that cares about them, and being in it TOGETHER.

As Helen Keller once said, “alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much.”

Listening 👂 [actively]

…is a very important skill set to acquire.

When you listen you can actually hear…you can understand a persons point of view, their concerns and their frustrations.

In my profession as a Coach I’ve been listening to so many of my clients goals,concerns and frustrations.

Only when I listen actively I can ultimately understand them and guide them into the right direction.

And it’s actually super fun 🤩

It’s fun to get to know people…ask them questions and just LISTEN.

Football ⚽️ is life…

If you know me. I love soccer analogies. I compare anything and everything to soccer ⚽️

There are so many parallels.

I believe we accomplish things together not alone.

Doesn’t matter if it’s in business, family or personal environments we win and lose together.

Happiness is only real when shared.

Winning championships are always more fun when celebrated in a team or with your favorite people.

In life or in soccer everything is about decision making. Accumulate many poor decisions you will lose in life as well as in soccer.

In soccer it’s also very very important to learn how to lose and get back up. It’s about not giving up…so is life!

There are always challenges in life or on the pitch…it’s all about how we deal with them and not give up.

Ready to workout? [even if it’s a holiday…]

I don't like the holiday season for one reason... (Pic from Dec 2017)

Can you believe it? 2021 is coming to end already... only 31 days are left!

First of all I want to say this: I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR YOU (Yes… you who are reading this right now.) We crossed paths for a reason and I hope we continue this path together. I gained so much inspiration and motivation from you this year to continue being a leader in the fitness field and to inspire more people.

Thanksgiving just passed here in the US and Christmas is quickly approaching, and with that I know how difficult it is to keep a healthy lifestyle during the holidays.

Most people fall off the wagon by neglecting their bodies around the holidays. But I believe we need to take care of our bodies especially in times like these. 💪

(This is the reason why I don't like the holidays! Don't call me the Grinch, though! 😂)

Here are some easy steps to stay on track during the holidays:

1. Stay active by getting your daily walk in. (A good rule of thumb is 10,000 steps per day!)
2. You may indulge on holidays but in between stick to a calorie target (balance is key!)
3. Listen to your body's signals (maybe do yoga over a HIIT workout... but keep on moving)
4. Go to bed around 10-10:30 and get your 7.5+ hours of sleep in (turn off those devices around 9pm!)
5. Boost your immune system with a good immune boosting supplement (it's important to stay healthy in winter!)

I'd love to know your fitness and health goals for 2022. It's important to formulate goals NOW. Don't wait until the new year is here. It's GO-TIME now!
