And while it’s important to work your entire core, adding a few extra obliques-focused exercises to your regular routine has some added benefits: “Defined obliques are like contouring for your waist,” says Dalton Wong, founder of London’s Twenty Two Training, who has worked with Jennifer Lawrence and Zoë Kravitz.
