What an amazing event for Villa’s Taekwondo at the 8th Asian Taekwondo Indonesia Open Championships 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia! 🇮🇩🥋
This was a very important World Taekwondo G2 event, which means athletes were competing for valuable international ranking points against high-level competitors from around the world. Events like this matter because they help athletes gain experience on the international stage while also building their world ranking.
🥉 Soraya “Yaya” Villa had a tremendous performance, winning 3 matches in a very large division and advancing all the way to her 4th match / semifinal before falling to Australia and earning a bronze medal. Winning bronze at a G2 event in Asia is a huge accomplishment and something to be very proud of.
Caliana Fonseca fought well and lost her second match against Japan.
A***n Canete also advanced and lost his second match against Singapore.
Monique Villaseñor battled hard and lost her opening match against Indonesia.

More Than a Sport. A Way of Life.
Taekwondo isn’t just about learning kicks, poomsae, sparring, or earning a black belt.
It’s about giving children a place to belong, surrounding them with positive role models, and helping them stay away from the negative influences found on the streets.
Every class is an opportunity to build confidence, discipline, respect, perseverance, and character that will last a lifetime.
Our mission has never been just to create champions in competition—it has always been to help create champions in life.
🥋 More than a sport. A way of life.
