I'm not gonna hang all my current shortcomings on this origin story or anything but yeah, we need new ways to get young people excited about building lifelong exercise habits.
My mother was sedentary--all her work and hobbies (crosswords! piano! musical arrangements! sewing!) involved being seated. In turn, I also pursue hobbies like art & beading & trolling chuds online, and those aren't very physically active pursuits. That's part of the reason why i chose Pilates as a new career--if i had nothing else, i can get some exercise around clients.
Yet here I am... a lump.
Not for long tho--I'll be coteaching with Lauren tonight at 7, at in Studio City. You should sign up and come join us.
