What The F**k Are Macros?
Macronutrients (Macros) are the nutrients your body requires in substancial amounts to function properly.
You see steak, your body sees protein and fat.
You see bread, your body sees carbs.
You see butter your body sees fat.
But each one of them has their purpose in your body.
This is why a restrictive diet like keto (cutting out carbs) or a low fat diet may get short term results, but most people will not be able to sustain them over a long period of time and end up gaining the weight back.
But if you understand your macronutrient profile based on your body and goals, you can virtually guarantee results.
And the best part is, it’s sustainable because you don’t have to cut out any of the foods you love.
I ate steak, potatoes, pasta, and cheeseburgers, pretty much every week during 75 Hard (all food homemade) and got into the best shape of my life.
And while I don’t recommend this, you could technically eat donuts or twinkies every day and still love weight as long as you fit them in the appropriate macros.
