Want to play more advanced baseball this Fall?

The East Valley Eagles program will hold tryouts on Saturday 8/17. If selected, your child could play in our travel ball program INSTEAD of regular Saturday league play. For those with the skill to do so, it’s a chance to play against tougher competition. Please note: In order to play on the Eagles, you MUST attend tryouts.
Is there an additional cost?
The cost is $225, regardless of when you registered. That means if you signed up early and only paid $175, you would owe the additional $50.
Where/when will the games be?
We will attempt to hold games at EV on Sundays. We may also play at other facilities in the San Fernando Valley. If your team decides to enter a tournament or two, those may be a bit more of a drive and could span a full weekend.
What if my son/daughter doesn’t make the Eagles team?
Then they would play in our normal league on Saturdays. If they try out on 8/17, they do not also need to try out on 8/24 (when the regular league holds tryouts).
What time are tryouts on 8/17?
If your child is…
League age 6 (born 5/1/13 thru 4/30/14) = 9am on Field 1.
League age 7 (born 5/1/12 thru 4/30/13) = 8am on Field 2.
League age 8 (born 5/1/11 thru 4/30/12) = 9am on Field 2.
League age 10 (born 5/1/09 thru 4/30/10) = 9am on Field 2
League age 11 (born 5/1/08 thru 4/30/09) = 8am on Field 3
League age 12 (born 5/1/07 thru 4/30/08) = 9am on Field 3
League age 13 (born 5/1/06 thru 4/30/07) = 8am on Field 4
League age 14 (born 5/1/05 thru 4/30/06) = 9am on Field 4
Latest update.

Fall online registration will close on Sunday. We do have waiting lists in most divisions primarily due to the lack of volunteer managers/coaches. If your child is on a waiting list, and you'd like them to be placed on a team, we do ask that you step up and help manage a team.

Player Evaluations will be on Saturday, August 24th. Once we close registration and sort out the #'s, we will then send out revised evaluation times for all age groups. All players for Fall are required to attend evaluations.

Cooperstown Dreams Park

Some updates with our EV All Stars and Eagles.

Congratulations to our 12 year old East Valley Eagles, managed by Ramiro Lopez, with coaches Rene Beltran and Juan Andrade. They finished pool play at the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament in Cooperstown, NY, by going 6-0 and are one of the top rated teams. But now the challenge of the 104 team playoff begin. You can catch the Eagles, beginning at 8:30pm EST (5:30 to all of us) on Wednesday, by going to www.cooperstowndreamspark.com and logging in. Home team wears red Go Eagles!!

Our Pony 14's will be at Super Regions beginning this Friday, 2pm, at Simi Valley. Their 1st round opponent will be High Dessert, the winner of the Southeast Region. Good luck to our team coached by Israel Nava and Devin Peterson. Go East Valley!!

A big shout out to our Mustang 9 year team. There run to the world series has come to an end. East Valley lost to the eventual Zone champions, Tecolote, in the semi final game. Another great run by our 9's and Mangaer Victor Huezo's staff. Let's get the band back together and do it again as 10 year olds.

Our Story

The baseball complex at the corner of Whitsett and Strathern has been serving the boys and girls of the East San Fernando communities of North Hollywood, Sun Valley, Arleta, Pacoima and Panorama City since our inception in 1962.

East Valley began in 1950's as San Val Little League and moved to the current location in 1962. Today, East Valley Baseball is home to PONY baseball. PONY is an acronym that stands for Protect Our Nations Youth. Field sizes and rules change with each new age group division.

The divisions are:

Shetland - ages 5 & 6. Manuel Machine Pitch w/ Tee, if needed. 50' bases;
Pinto - ages 7 & 8. Introduction to kid pitch (with limitations). 38' mound and 60' bases;
Mustang - ages 9 & 10. Metal cleats; Major league baseball rules (for kids, of course). Lead offs, dropped thrid strikes, infield fly rule. 44' mound and 60' bases.
Bronco - ages 11 & 12. Major league rules; 48' mound and 70' bases.
Pony - ages 13 & 14. 54' mound and 80' bases.
