Recently, we brought our “Stronger, for Life” panel to U.P. Brentwood for an incredible evening of connection, conversation, and empowerment.
Our powerhouse panel shared real and inspiring stories around strength training, hormonal health, and thriving through midlife:
💬 Dr. Jenica Ortega, cardiologist and lead physician of Commons' Wholebody Program, on women’s cardiovascular health and prevention.
💬 Lisa Schweitzer, breast cancer survivor and U.P. client, on rebuilding strength through menopause and Hashimoto’s.
💬 Suzette Ramirez-Carr, U.P. client and advocate for proactive health, on addressing early osteoporosis through strength training.
💬 Dr. Carol Lin, orthopedic surgeon and U.P. client, on helping women build strength and prevent fractures during menopause.
A special thank you to Adidas for their generous support - our guests loved the Adidas products included in their gift bags! 🙌
The evening was filled with honest conversation, actionable insights, and so much inspiration.
Here’s to being Stronger, for Life - together. 💥

Strength training has transformed me physically and changed my life.
Cait is a breast cancer survivor who spent months in surgical procedures and chemotherapy that left her exhausted. Feeling helpless to rebuild her strength alone, she turned to us and discovered the power of lifting weights.
Now at 43, she feels stronger than ever. Her bone density scans prove it: visible improvement confirmed by her doctor.
For women navigating menopause or recovery, Cait's story shows what's possible when you prioritise strength training. She's one of many inspiring women we're celebrating as part of our 'Stronger, for Life' campaign.

“When I came to U.P., I had no idea I was preparing myself to enter my 40s the strongest I’ve ever been.”
After pregnancy, Lakeisha wanted to rebuild her strength. Not just for herself, but for her child.
Now at 43, she’s built a foundation of muscle, confidence, and resilience that helps her navigate perimenopause feeling strong and in control.
Lakeisha’s story is one of many inspiring journeys we’re sharing this month as part of Menopause Awareness Month and our Stronger, for Life campaign.

Menopause doesn’t have to slow you down.
Meet Lisa, one of our inspiring clients who decided to reclaim her health and confidence at 50. At a stage of life when millions of women face unique challenges: “I wanted to improve my mental health for my 50th birthday. Dropping 110 lbs gave me a whole new life.”
New data from over 4,700 women who trained with U.P. shows how metabolic health can shift long before menopause begins.
By their late 30s body fat levels rise from 29% to 33.6%, and blood pressure increases too.
But the good news is: these trends can be reversed.
With structured strength training, personalised nutrition, and expert accountability, women can significantly improve body composition, reduce risk factors, and feel stronger - physically and mentally.

Meet Alison.
As a TV presenter and mum of two, her schedule has always been packed - leaving little time for the gym, nutrition, or self-care. Then menopause hit. And like so many women, Alison struggled with self-doubt and a loss of energy.
“Somehow, there’s this message that if you’re in your fifties, it’s all over. Which leaves women with a hopeless sense of despair.”
For many women, menopause can feel like an uphill battle:
- Hormonal changes can slow down metabolism
- Muscle mass declines more rapidly
- Body fat gain around the midsection
- Poor sleep and low energy compound the struggle
But Alison refused to let that be her story. With U.P. Method she rebuilt her confidence, strength, and mindset.
And stories like Alison’s show what’s possible with the right support and strategy. At U.P., we’ve trained more than 15,000 women through hormonal transitions over the past 15 years. And this October, during Menopause Awareness Month, we have something really special to share.
Stay tuned to find out more.
