Join us October 9th & 10th for this 2-day multi-sport event honoring Veterans and First Responders! Clinics and competitions for adults with physical disabilities and visual impairments - from newly adaptive to seasoned athletes, everyone is welcome!

Did you know the first wheelchair basketball game was played at Birmingham High School in Van Nuys? 💙

We were honored to join the unveiling of Wheelchair Basketball Square at Birmingham High School - the birthplace of wheelchair basketball and former VA hospital where the first game was ever played.

As Los Angeles prepares to host the first-ever Paralympic Games in 2028, honoring where adaptive sport began right here in our own city makes this moment even more powerful.

History matters. Community matters. Sport matters.

Thank you City of LA and LA City District 6 , for ensuring this historic location is officially recognized and preserved.

Angel City Sports is seeking highly motivated students in grades 6-12 for our Youth Leadership Council! 💙🔥

This premier volunteer experience develops young leaders and provides meaningful involvement in the adaptive sports community. Students will learn to advocate for youth and adults with disabilities while building real leadership skills.

On July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law — a landmark moment that opened doors to employment, transportation, and community life for millions of Americans. It didn't happen by accident. It happened because leaders, advocates, and the disability rights movement refused to accept "no" for an answer.

Today, , , and are proud to stand together in honoring that legacy — and in recommitting to a future where accessibility isn't an afterthought, it's the standard.

Every summer, our Junior Adaptive Sports Camp is powered by an incredible group of volunteers - and we need YOU this July in San Diego!

No experience needed - just enthusiasm and a willingness to help! Whether you're cheering on campers, helping with setup, or lending a hand wherever needed - every role matters.

Ages 15+
Ways to volunteer:
✅ No experience needed - help with setup, assist counselors and coaches
✅ Join as a Counselor in Training (CIT) or Junior Counselor
✅ Have a specialized skill? We welcome volunteers with experience in PT, OT, nursing, coaching, childcare, food service & more!

Come for a day or all week - we'd love to have you! 💙

🚨 URGENT: Medical Volunteers Needed! 🚨
We're looking for Registered Nurses, physicians, and medical professionals to volunteer at our Junior Adaptive Sports Camp - July 20-24 in San Diego! 💙

Responsibilities include:

Catheterizing campers
Administering medication
Assisting with water activity transitions
General first aid

Schedule:
📍 July 20-21 | Miramar College | 8AM - 3:30PM
📍 July 22-24 | Mission Bay | 8AM - 3:30PM (Friday 8AM-2PM)

Whether you can commit to the full week or just one day - your presence makes camp possible! Registered and certified medical volunteers are essential to keeping our campers safe. 💙
