As we celebrate ♀️, I’d like to acknowledge one of my favorite new talented artists, GRAMMY Award winning and this dope shoot she did integrating boxing into her show.
-
If you live under a rock and haven’t already, go check out her project, “Alligator Bites Never Heal”. It’s worth a listen and I’m happy to see someone upholding the genre of hip hop to a high regard as well as paying homage to the sport I love🫶🏾 and has made a living for me here in the city of angels the past decade.

COMPLETE. UTTER. DOMINATION.
-
Fresh on the heels of a virtuoso historic performance, it is evident that is CLEARLY the pound for pound number one fighter in the world. We saw the very best version of Crawford as he put his full skill set on display, doling out a thorough drubbing of the former champion .
-
At times, the fight became hard to watch as ESJ lacked pop on his shots, routinely got caught throwing wide punches and appeared shot as Crawford, who routinely had been questioned about his power & size in the division, appeared sharper & stronger than the normal battering ram that is ESJ.
-
The fate of the fight seemed to be determined early on after a second round knockdown by Crawford. The doctor had to come in and do a welfare check. I was hoping Derrick James would have the wherewithal to stop the punishment as there is a rematch clause. The ref clearly made the decision to step in and save Spence in the 9th.
-
I picked Crawford by decision but was completely surprised by how much stronger & sharper he was than Spence. The rematch now seems futile & Crawford clearly has established himself as welterweight supremacy.

Nice win for . Very rarely does he disappoint. I’m not in ’s body and I understand he felt he couldn’t see due to some of the shots he took but it feels like he quit. Didn’t show any signs of truly being hurt other than taking some heavy shots but to not at least come out & try to gather his bearings in a moment like that felt weak. You don’t get many moments like this so you have to seize them. Now it feels like the only fight left for Tank is and it’s starting to feel like Ryan is going to get dominated.

Things got a little testy at the presser for today.
-
Mayweather said it best - you shouldn’t mess up your money before the fight but apparently there’s some bad blood that’s somehow brewed between these two.
-
Now, Plant’s got a cut under his eye that may postpone the fight. 🤦🏽‍♂️🙄
-
I don’t understand poking the bear here as has proven to be the far superior fighter but this is interesting - and the first in a while since I can remember - that someone tried to intimidate Canelo at a presser. Apparently it backfired.

If it’s the last time we see in the ring, I want to thank him for being such a champion in and out of the ring and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
-
Manny’s electric hand speed and blistering footwork kept him amongst the elites in boxing for 3 decades.
-
I had the Ugas fight close. I have no qualms w the decision as Manny clearly didn’t have the legs anymore to take advantage of Ugas. Ugas’s length just posed too many issues w Manny trying to come in but I had Manny ahead before the latter part of the fight.
-
It’s hard to truly encapsulate a career of greatness that is Manny Pacquaio’s life in the ring, but I do appreciate him being an advocate that good guys can win and the quiet ones are the most dangerous.
-
Well done, Manny. Hall of Famer. All the time great. One of the 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐.

Happy birthday to the great - one of the greatest heavyweight champions to ever exist. Mike was a terror amongst the heavyweight division possessing the perfect amount of speed, power, athleticism and boxing intelligence that made him virtually unbeatable during his prime.
-
What’s been even more incredible is Mike has been able to reinvent himself now and become a personality of his own, while still maintaining his integrity and legacy in the fighting realm.
-
Here’s to hoping we have many more birthdays to celebrate the legacy of Iron Mike. He was a force of nature.
