QUESTION:
😴 Are Elevator Pitches a Cure for Insomnia?
Are Elevator pitches a cure for bad sleep?

Picture this: you have risen at the crack of dawn before work starts to go to a networking meeting to try and generate leads, referrals or possible promotional partners.

You’re sipping on your life-giving coffee, and then it starts -
The dreaded elevator pitches.

‘Hi Im john, from Johns Plumbing we have over 20 years experience helping homeowners with their plumbing needs and we pride ourselves on cleanliness and good service’

.and then another and another

Now your eyes start to droop, and you look at your watch..then suddenly it’s your turn.

Only to hear yourself sounding like John the plumber hoping that that maybe someone
will jump up and grab you and say -
‘Let me give you some business right now!’

But no. That doesn't happen, and for a very good reason.

You didn’t create any curiosity, and when people hear your story or pitch they don't see them self in the scenario you’re painting.
Plus, you didn’t have a valuable ask, so again they do nothing.

To solve that you must have three things.

1. A Unique Expert Proposition
2. 4 or 5 Compelling marketing sentences, and
3. Product names that creates an urgent connection

In small teams or one person operations we must embrace standing out with compelling value, and communication when we don’t have big marketing budgets.

PAIN: Doing stuff that derails my day..(and frankly I don't want to do - even though I need to).
Top of the list - sending numerous marketing emails per month to get a few bites & setting up lights and video perfectly to look like I've invested squillions in my setup while making expert content for a video (that only lasts 60s to 3minutes.)

So whats the solution brightspark?

1. Get a bot to write a weeks emails based on my core subject matter, then edit a few things, and cut and paste, or better yet get an agent solution that creates drafts in my gmail for a specific time. Kapow batman! Old way - 1 hour+, New way - 5 minutes (save 55 minutes)
2. Get a chat GPT bot to help me write a video script, then cut and paste the script in to Eleven labs to create a cool voice over, or use a clone of my own voice. Then take that voice over recording to a tool like Syllaby or Blotato to create imagery that matches and then publish. Script writing 3 minutes, editing 5 minutes, voice over 3 minutes, export to blotato/syllaby and create a video to match the script recording w small edits 10 minutes. Old way - Filming + editing + publishing 1.5 to 2 hours+. New way - 25 minutes

They lied... they didn't meant to but they did.
Education is not power, its fuel. But now it's even worse... if its not entertaining and immediately applicable it's ignored.
Long story short: Don't tell, educate or pontificate. Show how to use a tool, show how to solve a problem, & show how to achieve a goal with proof! Booyaa!

The BIG question..truth is you don't need Ai unless you want to do one of five things. 1. Solve a problem 2. Shorten a process 3. Increase marketing touch points 4. Increase customer value 5. Decrease cost and increase profit

How do we decide?
1. In 0.6 of a second I decide if what I'm looking at is of value ⏱
2. I look at the image and the message to make my assessment 👍🏼
3. I wont read any further if the main photo and image isn't enticing (read your website page top 3rd - aka the Hero section) 🛑

So the question remains, 'Is your message and primary image enticing?'

I love doing draft web-page remixes for clients to show them what's possible when we have a compelling landing page that looks good and reads like you're in the mind of your perfect client. See attached images.
