Our partners at the Uptown Gay and Le***an Alliance (UGLA) is awarding scholarships for graduating seniors who demonstrated their commitment to social justice, focusing on issues such as inclusion, equality, and opportunity for members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community. See link for more details.

Our hearts are with the victims and all those affected by last night’s horrific mass shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs. Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance, and we must stand together and denounce hate & violence against the LGBTQ+ community—not just today, but everyday.

Congrats to our LGBTQ+ Community Police Academy graduating class of 9-2022 and special thanks to the William H Parker Police Foundation for their support of our educational and training programs!

It was also great to see some of our amazing community leaders come out to support the class last night.

The last US Transgender Survey was published in 2015 and we used the statistics in our LGBTQ+ Cultural Competency Training!

2022 U.S. Trans Survey The USTS documents the lives and experiences of trans and nonbinary people ages 16+ in the U.S. and U.S. territories.

Putting up with violence from loved ones: That's NOT what love is. Domestic violence can/does occur in most homes affecting those we love by damaging lives, eroding bonds, and sadly sometimes even death. Don't ignore the warning signs. There's always a way out and resources available.

In response to the allegations of racist and unprofessional remarks made by Los Angeles City Council members, Chief Michel Moore has made the following statement:
