Nirel is a yoga teacher (RYT-500) who offers Restorative Yoga workshops and classes. I am a Restorative Yoga teacher who creates spaces of rest for resilience.

Through her own experience with mental fatigue and burnout, she learned that there is more to resilience than trying to fit in 8 hours of sleep every night. Restorative yoga taught her that rest is multifaceted and inspired her to share her experiences through teaching. Nirel weaves mindfulness techniques together with alignment-focused practice to guide awareness to your mind and body. Paired wit

Let’s be real, most 200-hour yoga teacher trainings teach you the basics.

You learn how to sequence a class, cue a pose, and guide people through a practice.

But what about the deeper stuff?

Like how to create a space where people feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. How to hold a group without taking on everything yourself. How to make your classes, circles, workshops, and gatherings feel intentional, grounded, and supportive.

That’s what we’ll be exploring at Holding Space with Heart: A Restful Immersion for Facilitators. It’s half retreat, half learning immersion, and completely designed to feel nourishing and restorative.

We’ll talk about intentional facilitation, sustainable leadership, community care, boundaries, rest, and how to create spaces people truly want to come back to.

If you’re a yoga teacher, healer, wellness practitioner, coach, community organizer, or someone who brings people together, this is for you.

Being Asian American can feel like such a specific, layered, and nuanced experience. There can be so much intergenerational and cultural navigating, so much learning, unlearning, honoring, and becoming.

For AAPI Heritage Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, I hope you remember to be kind and gentle with yourself. These experiences and struggles as AAPI can be hard to carry, and you do not have to have it all figured out. I keep reminding myself of this, too, and that it is more important to show up as I am.

Because my (and your) Asian American/Pacific Islander experience is important wisdom that should be shared, too.

Behind every event is so much more than what people see.

There is energy, preparation, care, intention, and so much holding.

To my fellow space holders: I see the time, love, and heart you pour into bringing your gatherings to life. I see the way you support others while also carrying the many invisible pieces behind the scenes.

I see you. I acknowledge you. I honor you. ❤️

And I totally get it.

One thing I’ve realized as a yoga teacher is that I never stopped being a student.

I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to take this trauma-informed yoga training at in Los Angeles. It’s been almost a year since my teaching practice shifted mostly into trauma-informed yoga classes in clinical settings, and it feels very different from teaching in a yoga studio.

There are so many things I’ve had to figure out along the way, and this training affirmed so much of what I’ve learned through experience while also offering new tools, tips, and inspiration to keep deepening my practice.

Highly recommend. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn from Zabie and Dr. Sheena and to be in a space filled with so much wisdom, care, and intention.

If you’ve been wanting to teach class with more clarity, confidence, and support, consider this your invitation.

The CARES Framework was created for yoga teachers who hold space for others and want a more grounded, sustainable way to do it without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a practical, methodical approach to sequencing, cueing, and holding space so your teaching feels more intentional, aligned, and doable in both your work and real life.

This work came from noticing something simple: many yoga teachers feel alone once their YTT ends. While we do our best to support others, we’re not always taught how to support ourselves, too. That’s exactly what this framework is here to change.

It’s not about being the “perfect” teacher.
It’s about feeling resourced, confident, and supported in your current role.

Holding Space with Heart: The CARES Framework takes place this Friday, April 24, and spots are filling fast.
There are only a few spots left. If this resonates, register now before it’s too late.

Your 200-hour YTT probably taught you how to teach poses and structure a class, but did it teach you how to hold meaningful space for yourself and your students?
If you’ve ever felt called to offer something a little deeper than just the physical practice, this virtual training is for you.

I created Holding Space with Heart: The CARES Framework for yoga teachers, facilitators, therapists, and anyone who finds themselves holding space for others. It’s an opportunity to explore how we can create spaces that feel more intentional, connected, and supportive, while also caring for ourselves in the process.

This isn’t about doing more. It’s about approaching your teaching or facilitation in a way that feels more aligned and sustainable.

I’d love to have you join me on Friday, April 24. Link in bio to register 💜
