Meraki Family,

We are excited to announce a few schedule changes and additions for our kids and adult classes.

For kids, we are now offering classes for 3 and 4 year olds at 3:15 PM Monday through Friday so we hope to see many young siblings of our current kids and brand new faces. Please spread the word to any families who might be interested.

For now, we also have two changes for our adult classes. First, our women’s classes will now be on Mondays and Thursdays at 7:00 AM (we will split the mat with the regular morning class). Based on the feedback we have received, we believe that this change will enable a larger number of our current and prospective members to participate in that class.

Second, our Saturday class will now run from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, which will be our first 90-minute class for all levels. There is no open mat afterwards, but we will let those with some energy left get another round or two in after class whenever we can.

Third, as many of you already know, our Monday morning class is now in the gi.

Our hearts go out to all our fellow Angelenos who lost their homes, belongings, neighborhood communities, and cherished mementos of precious moments with family and friends. While so much of that is irreplaceable, we want to do what we can to lighten their load even if only a little bit.

Our doors are open to all families who have been directly affected by the fires and we welcome them to participate in as many classes as they want while we navigate this difficult time together. From kids to adults, we want to provide a space of comfort, connection, and strength for current members and non-members alike.

This cause is very personal to Cameron as his grandmother was diagnosed 2 years ago. He wants everyone to know that “My gramma is the best gramma. She always cooks me the yummiest Korean foods and she makes me spicy blue crab. I love it. She always tries her best and always has a positive attitude. I love her very much”
