Established in 1997, YGSB offers world-class training to young dancers seeking superb, small group, private and semi-private ballet instruction.
Program
The Yuri Grigoriev School of Ballet offers world-class ballet training to serious students, ages 6 through 18, in West Los Angeles. The program is based on the famous training method developed by Agrippina Vaganova, a ballerina at the Imperial Russian Ballet, who is considered by many to be the greatest ballet pedagogue of the 20th century. Our guest is Richard Winsor who has performed many leading roles in Matthew Bourne's spectacular ballets, Dorian Gray, Edward Scissorhands, the Swan/Stranger in Swan Lake to name a few. Mr. Winsor’s style is Cunningham with Bourne and ballet and he will emphasize acting and expression in his 3 hour workshop.

Arkady Nikolaev returns to for our Annual Winter Workshop. Mr. Nikolaev is currently the Main Répétiteur for Principal dancers at the Stanislavsky Ballet in Moscow.
He will teach technique for intermediate, advanced and pre-professional levels. In addition to technique, pointe and variations will be taught to the advanced and pre-professional levels.
