Zapata-King NC held a end-of-the-year clean up along Grand Ave on December 6,2025. Thank you to all members and volunteers that came out to support and do their part in keep our community clean.

The Zapata-King Neighborhood Council would like to invite you to volunteer at our upcoming community-clean up event this Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM.
Meet up will be on the corner of 49th St. & S. Grand Ave, Los Angeles, 90037. This clean-up will be along the Grand Avenue corridor from 45th St. to 52nd St.

Tools & Lunch provided.

Last night residents, neighbors and stakeholders joined the Q&A of the TownHall led by City Council District 9 and Department of Public Works. We had a chance to share are deepest concerns, our dissatisfaction of MyLA311 reporting app and our disappointment of lack of follow through of the various bureaus that fall under the department of public works.

We have received answers mostly with the typical - “send me an email to further review the matter.” Thus, ZKNC along with other neighborhood councils will follow through and ensure communication and ex*****on of these responses are address in a timely manner.

Anoche, residentes y vecinos se hicieron escuchar en la sesión de preguntas y respuestas del Ayuntamiento, dirigida por el Distrito 9 del Ayuntamiento y el Departamento de Obras Públicas. Tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir nuestras preocupaciones más profundas: nuestra insatisfacción con la aplicación de informes MyLA311 y nuestra decepción por la falta de seguimiento por parte de las distintas agencias del Departamento de Obras Públicas.

Hemos recibido respuestas, en su mayoría, del típico “envíeme un correo electrónico para revisar el asunto”. Por lo tanto, ZKNC, junto con otros consejos vecinales, dará seguimiento y garantizará que la comunicación y la ejecución de estas respuestas se aborden de manera oportuna.
