I think I have all the videos except the sitting one. Which video (and could u potentially tell me which exercise or section) has something to strengthen internal hip rotation (knee moving towards centerline of body). I'm trying to do those leg circles for pole floorwork, but my left leg makes more of a "D"

Equipment hack for that little ball: I got a kid's toy ball from a dollar store and deflated it a little.
Hello friends! I'm Jane Rose, a local LA aerialist and I run a non-profit aerial/circus performance company called DConstruction Arts. We have a one woman show starring the amazing Dreya Weber (choreographer to P!nk, Cher, Magic Mike Live, etc) that we will be bringing to U.S. cities and we are holding a series of backyard classes on my aerial partner Tavi Stutz's one-of-a-kind aerial umbrella (Tavi is a former Cirque du Soleil performer and dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet). I'm reaching out to all local studios to see if students or instructors are interested in taking this unique and limited class experience
Hey Fit & Bendy I just discovered your page as well as videos and they're very helpful. See I quit gymnastics for seven years only find out that I cannot cope –without 'em. I am still flexible in doing my splits although I have to warm ups first, but I can no longer do moves like Backbents,Chest stand and scorpion ect and I was struggling with those back in the days. My question is will I gain that flexibility to do such moves plus I want to compete again, by the way I'm turning 21.
I have most of if not all your videos. What are the best sections for working on touching your foot your head behind you. out to the side to my head isnt a problem but straight behind is.

Hi there! just discovering your page and videos which are both awesome! Would the "Get Bent" video help me even if I have past injuries (left hamstring tear preventing a good left splits, trampoline accident leading to temporary paralysis and restricted mobility in the mid to upper back)? I'm no spring chicken but I've been working on my flexibility for a few years now. I'd like to improve the mid/upper back mobility and flexibility as well as improve my left/middle spits, as they are key in my style of dancing, but so far, I haven't found the right tools to help me. Fit & Bendy Contortion Training offers classes in flexibility and circus contortion, using Pilates and dance techniques to improve strength and technique, making a longer stronger you!

Instructor Kristina Nekyia trained in Mongolian contortion with Serchmaa Byamba at San Francisco Circus Center. Because she began her training as an adult she dedicated herself to understanding methods of improving flexibility and control that are healthy and safe, taking into account the individual's body type and goals. She has combined training in Pilates and dance with the Mongolian contortion techniques, offering students great improvements in flexibility while increasing strength, maintaining joint stability, and improving technique.

✨BREATHWORK WORKSHOP TONIGHT✨

Breathwork is an active form of meditation which involves deep, diaphragmatic breathing through the mouth while lying flat on a yoga mat or bed. It is a modernized form of pranayama, which is Sanskrit for the conscious awareness and control of the breath. Prana is “life force” or “breath,” and ayana is “a good path” or “direction.” Focusing on and controlling the breath creates a kind of mindfulness meditation that is more active than a stillness meditation sit. Breathwork has the potential to create healthy emotional shifts. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system and helps the body process tension and stress stored in the sympathetic nervous system.


Join certified Breathwork facilitator Wade MacDonald as he guides us through this amazing practice that takes the simple breath and utilizes it in a way you have never felt before!

**For your own comfort during the diaphragmatic breathing, we suggest that you arrive with a somewhat empty stomach.


Wade MacDonald is certified to teach Breathwork. He is the yin to Jackie’s yang, as he is less involved in the metaphysical side of Breathwork and more interested in its very real emotional and physical shifts. He is an English teacher by profession, and brings an instructor’s care of the learning and growing process.

Come hither and come slither with coach Micah. Slither combines flexibility, acrobatics and dance in a 90- minute class focused on helping students to move in expressive and bendy ways. Slither is a 3 part class. The first part will be focused on conditioning and flexibility to prepare the body to move in and out of elastic positions. The second part will be focused on acrobatics and transitions between positions. In the third part, students will learn choreography that combines the flexibility, acrobatics and dance movement, all set to music. Find the joy in movement. 💫

1. Where is the most unusual place you have ever stretched?

Probably Machu Picchu! I was trying to get down as small as I could to not block the view and a split seemed like the best way to do that! I always laugh at the photo because the heavy boots I was wearing were weighing my foot down and I remember telling my friend "Look, my real split is a lot better than this, okay?!?"

2. What is your favorite stretch and why?

Favorite has two definitions to me. There's ones that feel good because I have skill points there so they make me feel REALLY good and flexible, and then there's the stretches that are HARD, but push me to achieve new flexy goals so really, in my heart of hearts, those are the true favorites. I have been loving things that involve getting my foot to my head in bridge or in a lunge/split. I am currently trying to comfort my nervous system in regards to letting my hip flexors relax in stretches so all of these really test that limit and it feels like good hard work.

3. What is your dream stretch that you would just love to do some day?

I love bow pose, with the shoulders properly rotated to grab the legs and it would be a dream to achieve that. I imagine chest stands and catch ankles and all sorts of poses but for now, I'm focusing on achievable dreams so working on sliding from bridge to lunge is my dream attainable stretch. And hanging backbend. I have lots of dreams, okay?! :]

4. When something is really difficult, what do you say to yourself or to your body to help keep you going?

My biggest restriction in stretching comes from my nervous system acting up and flooding my body with anxiety over any perceived fear or weakness. I've started welcoming that feeling and more importantly, acknowledging my nervous system and telling it thank you for trying to make me aware of something stressful, but also being able to fully power the muscles that SHOULD be working instead of the ones my body uses @ Los Angeles, California
