I decided I wanted to dye my hair and then I went back and forth thinking about all the reasons why I shouldn’t. “What if I don’t like it” “What if it damages my hair” Worrying about this and that. Then I was like WHY NOTTTT!! It’s just hair. When I’m 80 years old I’d rather say “Remember when I was 25 and had purple hair!!” Than “I’ve always wondered what it would have been like to have purple hair.”

Yesterday in my yoga teacher training we learned about the History of Yoga. One thing that really stood out to me was the Hindu trinity Brahma (creation), Vishnu (preservation), and Shiva (destroyer). The instructor asked what we thought the most important one was and I thought to myself, must be creation. The instructor then said that it was destruction. We must have destruction. If nothing was ever lost or destroyed there would never be room for anything new. I was really blown away by this way of thinking. We must make space for new things by letting go of the old things. There must be a balance between good and bad, yin and yang. When we experience bad times it makes us appreciate the good times. When we experience good times it teaches us to be in the moment because it won’t last forever. I am so excited to learn more and dive deeper into my own spiritual practice 🧘🏽♀️☯️💫✨🤍 @ CorePower Yoga

Going with the flow✨
Yesterday I started my yoga teacher training. I’ve loved yoga for years but every time I thought about being a yoga teacher I got scared and nervous. During every yoga class I’m thinking “how do they remember every single thing to say?!” “I don’t sound like that” and countless other words of self doubt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I was younger, if something scared me I would definitely NOT do it. Today, when something scares me I almost see it as an invitation. An invitation to grow and to move up to the next level. When I feel that nervous pit in my stomach I know I’m on the right track. Nothing ever happens inside your comfort zone.

Every person that you look up to was once a beginner. You will never get to that level unless you start. Now. All we have it the present moment.

/STRENGTH/
I loveeee being strong and having muscles. But I also love being strong mentally. Mentally tough. As you may know I was going through a rough patch at the beginning of the year and I finally feel like myself again!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I had to go through it to learn and grow. My standards are sooo high now, I ain’t takin s**t from nobody, and I’m not ignoring red flags anymore. It has not been easy, there have been really low, sad days but I have made it through! Be proud of yourself for getting through tough times.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Things that have made me feel my best:
1. SLEEPING! I have been going to sleep earlier and it is honestly life changing. I no longer need to drink coffee and I have tons of energy.
2. Giving my self love! Doing what I want, remembering who the F I am, hyping myself up.
3. Working out!! Pushing myself but also listening to my body. I have been lifting heavy, running, pilates, and yoga! I love doing a mix of all of them.
4. Taking time for myself and putting myself first. This one is so important. You deserve the time and effort that you so easily give to others!!!

I promise there is a light and beautiful rainbow at the end of the tunnel!!! Remind yourself that you’re a baddie!! Xoxo🤍
