Looks like USC Roski dean Erica Muhl may be "disrupting" herself out of a job. Someone should have told her that if you wanted to disrupt the current paradigm of arts education it can only mean one thing: the move away from artists being educated from within the institution and taking their education into their own hands. The Roski 7 understood this when they left, showing Muhl what true disruption looks like. We could have told her all this, but hey, she didn't hire us!

We're horrified and dismayed to find out how USC has treated these artist/students, but we're also inspired by their courage to stand up to an administration that clearly values them so little. As a show of solidarity, CAC would like to offer our services free of charge to these artists as they go it on their own. Does anyone know any of these artists and how we can get in touch with them?

SOME TIMES presents Idea Bar with Conceptual Art Consultants
For the 2015 Lux After Dark Benefit Gala, some times, a performative project space in the shape of a bar operated by artist Meghan Gordon, will host Conceptual Art Consultants, a consulting firm for artists and creative professionals, to create a collaborative performance called Idea Bar. The architectural space of the bar will be converted into a pay-per-thought think tank serving ideas on cocktail napkins, personal creative consultations, and free signature some times cocktails. Half of all proceeds will be donated to the Lux Art Institute Educational Scholarship Fund.
