Most of us know that the benefits of regular exercise are numerous, but did you know it’s even more important during pregnancy? The benefits for mom and baby are HUGE! Here’s just some of the benefits,
Exercising during pregnancy lowers the risk of/or helps treat gestational diabetes, improves mood, and reduces the risk of post natal depression. It’s also no secret that exercising mommas bounce back up to 40% faster than non exercising moms. Your baby will also benefit from your workouts, experiencing all of the benefits mom gets plus in the third trimester when baby’s body fat tissue develops, exercise helps reduce the glucose and fats available to baby, helping baby grow more optimally and arriving at their birth date with a healthy body weight, reducing their chance of becoming obese later in life. Research has also shown that baby’s brain function is more advanced than babies whose mom’s did not exercise during pregnancy and they have better cardiovascular health. And this is just the beginning of research into this area.
Our Fit Pregnancy App has been specifically designed to support both mom and baby and prepare them both for child birth and beyond. The App provides both gym and home based workouts that can be used all throughout pregnancy as well as fitness and nutritional tips and guidelines. There are no meal plans or diets!
