Dear SODC family, friends, followers and fellow dance community, This is our student, Grace. She passed away suddenly of pulmonary embolism — a blood clot — which was unknown and undetected due to her stellar health and youth. This news was a shock. 💔We are heartbroken that we won’t be able to dance with her again, to have her at our camps or get to know her and continue to witness her growth, but we are inspired to help others through her legacy.
We learned that Grace’s condition was treatable and her premature fate preventable with a simple test; so we want to spread awareness to save families such heartache as Grace’s has endured.

Last but not least, please send your uplifting thoughts and prayers to the Seeley family, and in Grace’s honor, dance, go to Disneyland, drink boba, express your creativity through fashion or art and try new things. Show Up with enthusiasm, a smile, and a soft heart filled with grace. Cherish everyone and every moment because life is precious and it can be taken away so suddenly.
