Back at Wells Stables
Usually I get asked, “How do you know the horse likes a massage?” And your typical answer would be, facial release, licking, chewing, yawning, etc. But not with Chip!!! Chip falls asleep during the session and sometimes we have to wake him up to remember I’m not a pillow!

Every session is different. He had tension in his neck, which is common for all horses, but in this session his point of hip and glutes showed soreness.

Gus’s owners wanted him looked at again! They saw a lot of improvement in his neck tension. However, they noticed some stiffness in the hind end. Sure enough, during my evaluation and the massage, his left bicep femoris and right stifle were extra sensitive this time around.
In cases like this I highly encourage another massage in two weeks then head back to a maintenance at every 4-6 weeks.
I work on 25 muscles on the entire body, with different massage techniques based on the area of the body from the head to hind end.

Gus helped us out by showing how good a deep tissue massage can feel and Chip’s owner wanted him to feel just as amazing!. This boy was falling asleep mid session and let me know where he felt good and what areas he needed some help releasing that tension! Gus was an expressive and curious client I had the joy of working on today at Wells Stables! His owners were pleased to see him fully relaxed and enjoying a deep tissue massage.
He’s used for Western Pleasure, which can cause soreness in the glutes, triceps, and deltoids.
But Gus definitely didn’t mind the rest of the muscle groups looked at!

We’ve been a bit busy working on some horses!
Today these two mares from Edinburg had their second and first deep tissue massage.
These rodeo athletes have been working hard and deserved some TLC.
We’ve decided to include magnetic therapy in this session to help circulate blood flow, reduce inflammation, and help reduce pain based on the specific needs of each horse.

Our magnetic add ons include: bell boots, mask, hock / tendon / knee wraps (full body sheet coming soon)
