​The wait is officially over. Archery season for pronghorn is underway, and the high desert plains are calling!

​Chasing the fastest land mammal in North America with a bow is one of the ultimate tests of patience, stealth, and marksmanship. Whether you're sitting in a ground blind by a waterhole or trying your hand at a spot-and-stalk across the open sagebrush, every moment out there is earned.

​Quick reminders for the field:
​Stay hydrated: High desert heat and wind will dry you out faster than you think. Pack extra water!

​Check the wind: A pronghorn's eyes get all the credit, but their nose will end your stalk just as fast.

​Know your range: Practice those mid-to-long-range shots and always account for that desert breeze.

​Got an early start today and managed to put 2 down this a.m. doing some essential predator control. The E caller and decoy did the trick perfectly to bring them in close. 🦊💥

​Managing the local predator population is a huge part of keeping our wildlife and livestock balanced and thriving.
