Three More Months.
I want to be transparent about something that has been weighing heavily on me.
The Movement Room will be open to the public for approximately three more months.
I built this space because I believed there was room in our community for something different. A place to move, learn, create, challenge yourself, and experience forms of movement and dance that you simply don’t find everywhere.
And I am incredibly grateful for every single person who has walked through these doors. Especially the people who drive an hour or more just to take a class with me. I see you. I appreciate you. And you are a HUGE part of why I’ve kept going.
But the reality is that small businesses cannot survive on appreciation alone.
They need people in the community to actually show up, participate, purchase, share, recommend, and make the choice to support them.
The local support for The Movement Room has been extremely minimal, and after giving this business everything I have, I have to be honest about what that means. I cannot continue pouring my time, energy, money, and heart into a community that isn’t willing to sustain what I’ve built.
So, after these next three months, I will be closing The Movement Room and taking what I do somewhere that has a stronger culture of movement, creativity, curiosity, and growth.
This isn’t me giving up on what I do.
It’s me choosing an environment where what I do is valued.
If you’ve been saying you want to come take a class, try something new, learn pole, dance, get stronger, stretch, or simply experience The Movement Room for yourself, now is the time.
You have roughly three months left to walk through these doors.
And to everyone who has supported me, whether you came once or you’ve been here consistently: thank you. Truly.
I’m proud of what I created here.
I just wish this community had been willing to meet me halfway.
