We are beaming with pride over this young lady! Ari placed 4th at the Fresham-Sophomore State championships today.
Ari is a prime example of what hard work and effort can do. Having only stepped on the mat for the first time last season, she has shown up practice after practice ready to work. Even when she took her lumps, she kept her head up and kept working.
We can't wait to see what the next couple wrestling seasons hold for her!

2010 was the last time this was seen in Evansville: two BNL wrestlers at Semi-State. We are beyond proud of these young men not only for having their best season yet this year, but also for both making Academic All-State.
Jorj's senior year was incredible, and he left big shoes to fill as a team leader, but we think Ethan is ready to step into those shoes for his senior year.
Thanks to everyone who supported all the BNL wrestlers this season. The future looks bright.

Big day for BNL wrestling at the Old Capitol Classic. Senior Jorj Filler notched his 100th career win and took 2nd overall. Junior Arellano put together a fantastic day en route to the top of the podium. Ethan Stancombe rounds out our list of finalists, taking 2nd at 165. Three finalists and a 9th place finish out of 14 teams is fantastic for a small squad. Beyond proud of everyone's fight today!

Unfortunately, Kyra and Ari aren't moving on to girls State, but we are so proud of them and the fight they've shown all season. Fortunately, neither of them are seniors, and we can't wait to see what they do next year!

A great showing from BNL wrestling today. Jorj Filler and Ethan Stancombe are this year's Bo Henry Classic champions, the first BNL Champs at this event in recent memory. BNL sent 3 to the finals, another first, with Wyatt Philpott taking 2nd. It was an awesome day with BNL having 7 placers overall, including Tripp making his debut at heavyweight!

Great day at The Gobbler for BNL. Lots of tough matches against tough competition. We're proud of how everyone wrestled-- especially Junior who took 2nd in a stacked HWT class.
