Fall hiking season is here, and WCSART along with our friends at Powell County Search & Rescue remind everyone to plan ahead before hiking. Recent incidents, including a fatal fall at Glacier National Park and Whittleton Arch, remind us: PREPARATION SAVES LIVES. Always hike within your capabilities, and be willing to turn around and be safe rather than taking unnecessary risks. Want to know more? Check out our 5 key tips in our press release: https://wcsart.com/preparation-can-save-lives-in-fall-hiking-season.

Friendly reminder as the air temp rapid warms and you go out to paddle, the water is still deadly cold and will take your breath away. Or worse make you gasp and drown. Life jackets dont work if you don’t wear em.
Love seeing all the people out paddling, don’t make others search for you body though.

We ran the Blue River yesterday from Rothrock to Blue Chapel. 2 spots had bad strainers but were avoidable with some skill and general safety, one is in a horrible spot and is new. Old reliable right above Harrison Spring is still there and jammed up as always. Water was at 400cfs on the white cloud gauge and was perfect. Enjoy the video.
