Today's topic: the importance of gun size when making a purchase. Size
Guns come in various sizes, including full-size, compact, and sub-compact. Which one suits your needs?
How and where do you plan to carry your gun? Will it be in a holster, a purse, or perhaps in your vehicle?
Can you comfortably operate all the gun's functions? For instance, if it's a 1911 with a grip safety, can you apply enough pressure to deactivate the safety and fire the weapon?
Considering the size factor before buying can help ensure you select the right firearm. Tune in for more insights on choosing the right gun for you!

For Day 7 of the , I'm diving into how to effectively present a firearm from a holster. This essential skill can significantly affect how quickly and safely you can engage a target. Here’s a straightforward, five-step process:
Clear any clothing out of the way.
Firmly grip the gun and smoothly draw it straight up from the holster.
Tilt the pistol toward the target.
Position your support hand on the gun in front of your chest at the high ready.
Extend your arms to bring the sights into alignment with the target.
Mastering these steps will enhance your readiness and precision. Tune in for more practical tips!
Cleaning is important, and this video breaks down the Ta**us TX-22 for a deep clean.
Safety First when cleaning your gun always ensure the firearm is unloaded before starting.

Day 4 of my vlog takes us back to my first outdoor shooting experience. With the sun beating down at 95 degrees, I dedicated two hours to honing my skills through drills. My makeshift targets were simple paper plates and playing cards, focusing on magazine exchanges, simulating malfunctions with dummy rounds, and practicing moving off the x. But here's a crucial takeaway—despite all those reps, my technique was far from perfect. This experience underscores a vital piece of advice for anyone learning to handle a firearm, and that is to seek out a competent instructor. It's not just about practice; it's about practicing the right way. Learn the correct techniques first, then drill them in!
Today marked Day 3 of my vlog, where my journey as a fi****ms instructor took center stage. With certifications from USCCA, NRA, DOCJT, and as an NSSF First Shots instructor, I've dedicated the last 4 years to educating others on safe and responsible gun ownership. The day was especially rewarding as I guided a married couple along their path to becoming responsible gun owners. There's a profound sense of fulfillment in sharing knowledge that has the power to protect and save lives. Witnessing the evolution of my students and understanding the impact of this work—it's why I do what I do.
30-Day Vlog Day 2
Jumped in my second IDPA match in the optic carry category
The day started off chilly but warmed up.
There were 7 stages, including the classification stage, where I ranked as a marksman - just above novice.
Had to start from low ready due to not having an optic-compatible holster for my VP9SK
Focused on shooting while moving and mastering sight acquisition with my new optic
This competitive shooting is a blend of fun and pressure and is a real test of skills under stress. Time to identify areas for improvement!
