It's National Donut Day, and we're not letting it pass with just a glazed and a coffee. We're running two things back to back, and you can pick one or grab both.

First, at 7:00, an all-levels Line Dance class. No partner, no experience needed, just follow along and have fun for 50 minutes. Then at 8:00, the Donut Dance Party kicks off and runs to 9:30, with a full mix of music, a friendly crowd, and a table full of donuts.

Do just the class, just the party, or both. The combo is $20 total instead of $24, so you save a little and get the whole evening. All of it happens at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville, and there are donuts either way.

POLKA BEGINNER CLASS
Wednesday, June 3 | 7:00 PM | 50 minutes | $12/person

Polka has a reputation for being something your grandparents did at weddings. Here's the thing: it's also one of the highest-energy dances on the floor, and it's a genuinely good time once you get the bounce going.

Ann Marie runs this one as a true beginner class, and she has a way of making the fast stuff feel easy. It's Wednesday June 3 at 7:00 PM at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. No experience needed. No partner required, since we rotate through the whole class, so coming alone is completely normal.

By the end of the night you'll have the basic step, the timing, and enough of that signature bounce to keep up when a polka comes on. Fast, lively, and a better workout than you'd expect. Fair warning: it's weirdly addictive.

NIGHTCLUB TWO-STEP BEGINNER MINI-COURSE
Tuesday, June 9 & June 16 | 7:00 PM | 2 classes | $24/person

Here's the truth about slow songs: most people just sway in a circle and quietly wait for it to end. There's a better option, and it takes two evenings to learn.

Nightclub Two-Step is the smooth, low-key club dance built for exactly those moments. Slow songs, mid-tempo ballads, that one track that comes on at every wedding. Once you know it, you stop dreading the slow ones and start looking for them.

We're teaching it from scratch at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. Two Tuesdays, June 9 and June 16, starting at 7:00 PM. No experience. No partner required. We rotate during class, so showing up alone is completely normal.

$24 for both classes. Two nights, one genuinely useful skill.

Sunday, June 7, 14 & 21 | 5:30 PM | 3 classes | $36 for all three

Anyone can learn the Nightclub Two-Step basic. Making it look smooth, unhurried, and genuinely good on the floor is a different skill, and that's what these three Sundays are for.

This is an intermediate/advanced mini-course at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. You'll work on cleaner turns, better timing, smoother transitions, and the kind of lead-and-follow that makes slow songs look easy. Some experience is needed, since we build on the basics rather than teach them. No partner required, though, because we rotate through the class.

Three Sundays, June 7, 14, and 21, at 5:30 PM. $36 for all three classes. By the end, the smooth stuff stops feeling like work.

Technique Tuesdays with Alex at Bravo Dance Studio

For one Friday only, make a full night of it at Bravo Dance Studio. Start with our 7:00 line dance class, then stay for the Ballroom & Latin Dance Party from 8:00 to 9:30. Book both together for just $20 — a great deal on a night packed with dancing.

Line dance is one of the easiest ways to jump in: no partner, no pressure, just follow along and have fun. Then put your new moves to use (or just enjoy the music) when the party kicks off at 8:00. It's the friendliest crowd in town, and Friday nights are where everybody ends up.

A three-week mini course at Bravo Dance Studio for dancers ready to move past the basics of Nightclub Two Step. If you can already lead or follow comfortably on a social floor, this series will expand your skills with new patterns, cleaner technique, and stronger lead-and-follow communication.

Each Sunday builds on the previous week, so plan to attend all three classes. Over the course of the series, you'll learn new figures, work on transitions and styling, and develop a better feel for dancing to a range of slow contemporary music.

Open to all Louisville-area dancers — you do not need to be a current Bravo student to attend. Come check us out!
This class is a good fit if you:

- Can already social dance Nightclub Two Step comfortably
- Are solid on the basic step and common patterns in either role
- Want to expand your repertoire and refine your technique
