Being part of HER Legacy is something I don’t take lightly.
This book launches March 19 in celebration of Elaine LaLanne’s 100th birthday. One hundred years of strength, discipline, leadership, and living what you believe.
I’m proud to stand alongside thirteen women sharing stories about growth, resilience, and choosing courage.
My chapter is about resilience forged through life’s unexpected turns—learning to turn barriers into bridges and rise stronger each time. It’s the story of rebuilding with courage, discipline, and faith in what’s possible.
Meeting Elaine in person reminded me why this project matters. Her life isn’t just a legacy—it’s a living example of what happens when strength, health, and purpose guide your choices for a lifetime.
More soon.

I returned home from the Todd Durkin Mountain Retreat with a heart that feels both lighter and stronger- like I experienced a record long, slow, exhale.
From the moment I stepped into the room, I felt the kind of welcome that goes deeper than a greeting… More like a collective nod that says, “Your story has weight. Your gift has purpose. “
Over2 1/2 days, we explored the places where our past had built barriers and discovered the courage to turn everyone of them into a bridge.
We dug into purpose.
Released old anchors.
Found clarity that felt like a slate finally wiped clean.
And we did it together-100 “family members” who now stand as accountability partners, encouragers, and truth-tellers for the road ahead.
There were early morning chapels, workouts that woke up our grit, and cold plunges that demanded presence. Every challenge was a mirror showing us what we’re truly capable of.
This retreat wasn’t about escaping life… It was about remembering who you are before life got loud.
A restoration of spirit.
A recalibration of purpose.
A reminder that the right tribe doesn’t just support you – they elevate the standard for who you are becoming.
The lessons we walked away with were driven by three keynote speakers (Chris, Young president and general manager of the Texas Rangers; Riley Tejcek– Captain USMC; Jeremy Foster – coaching leaders, companies, and churches) who led with humility, vulnerability, and powerful truth. They’re authenticity set the tone for the entire retreat and reminded us how transformative real, human leadership can be.
I’m returning home with a renewed mission:
To help others turn their obstacles into opportunities.
To help high-performance shift from surviving into thriving.
To help people build the bridges that carry them toward their next bold chapter.
Inspired. Grounded. Ready.
What makes the Todd Durkin mastermind the best?… The people!

What struck me most about Scotland wasn’t just the castles or cliffs—it was the people. Genuine, grounded, and filled with pride for their heritage. The cobblestone streets, the smell of warm pastries, and the rolling hills of the Highlands reminded me that peace isn’t found in perfection, but in presence. Scotland, you were pure magic. ✨

A day in St Andrews that stirred evA day in St Andrews that stirred ev sense.
Nestled on Scotland’s east coast, St Andrews is more than a collection of ruins and fairways. At St Mary’s on the Rock, salt and damp earth filled the air while foundations of an ancient monastery peeked through the grass. Walking through the empty nave of the cathedral, I heard kids laughing as seagulls wheeled above and a distant bell chimed — a paradox of peace and life.
Down at the harbour, piles of creels reminded me that this place still works for its living. Children dangled lines into green water while lobster boats bobbed nearby. The path along the cliffs brought me to a castle worn by centuries of wind; I imagined the chill of its siege tunnels and felt the sun’s warmth as I sat above the roaring surf.
Back in town, the university’s courtyards buzzed with students. I sat on a bench with a coffee and a fudge doughnut from Fisher & Donaldson (worth the hype!) and watched red‑gowned students navigate the infamous “PH” cobble. Later I stood on the Old Course’s 18th fairway, sea spray on my face, and crossed the petite Swilcan Bridge, soaking in a golfer’s pilgrimage.
I finished the day in the Dunvegan Pub, its walls covered in photos of golfers and celebrities, listening to locals swap stories while the late sun gilded spires and fairways outside. St Andrews, to me, is a place where history and everyday life intertwine, creating moments you can taste, smell and feel.

The moment I stepped off the train in Edinburgh, I felt the city breathe.
The air was cool and damp, the scent of rain and stone blending with something sweet—maybe scones from a nearby café. Around me, travelers moved in rhythm, laughter echoing off the cobblestone streets as spires rose into the mist like warriors who refused to fall.
Then came the boom—the one o’clock cannon—rolling through the hills, shaking the air and stirring something deep within me.
In that instant, I wasn’t just a visitor. I was part of the story—one more soul carried forward by this city’s quiet strength and resilience.
Edinburgh reminded me that endurance can be beautiful… and strength doesn’t always roar—it often whispers through the cracks that time couldn’t erase.
