Exciting Facility Updates from King Louie’s Sports Complex!
Dear King Louie’s Community,

We are thrilled to share an update on our major four-phase facility renovation. Our goal with these enhancements is to welcome new sports and events to our complex while ensuring our existing turf programs continue to thrive and grow.

• Phase 1: Enclosed Outdoor Box Field (Winter 2026/Early 2027)
We are transforming our outdoor box field into a fully enclosed, year-round space featuring a large, permanent tent structure. It will be equipped with heaters for the winter and garage doors to open during the summer. To maximize the experience, we are relocating our premium indoor box walls to this new space. While permitting delays pushed our original spring start date back, we received final approval last month. Construction is now underway, and we expect completion by the end of 2026 or early 2027. We appreciate your patience during this delay!

• Phase 2: New Taraflex Volleyball Courts (Completed!)
This summer, we successfully installed premium Taraflex volleyball flooring in the main building. Completed in August, this upgrade gives us five state-of-the-art indoor volleyball courts ready for action.

• Phase 3: Parking Lot Expansion (Awaiting Approval)
To better accommodate our growing community, we purchased 1.5 acres behind the sports complex. We plan to add approximately 90 new parking spots. We are currently awaiting final approval from Middletown and Jefferson County to begin construction.

• Phase 4: Road Widening & Second Entrance (Expected 2028)
The city’s planned expansion of N. English Station Road is scheduled for completion in 2028. The road will be widened to four lanes in front of the Blind Squirrel, and a new traffic light will be installed across from Aiken Road. This infrastructure update will provide our facility with a crucial second entrance and exit.
We are aiming to have the first three phases fully completed before this coming spring. Thank you for your continued support as we build Louisville’s premier multi-sport facility!

Best regards,
Mike McCaskill
