"StayHard Saturday" .... I went above my pay grade today with carrying a 20lb med ball on my shoulder while walking a slight incline on the treadmill for 200m with a heavy resistance band pulling me back while I force myself to go forward. It took my breath away but I'll keep doing it until it doesn't take my breath away and I'll do more. Today's workout consisted of 3 rounds:

200m incline heavy band resistant walk shoulder carrying a 20lb med ball
5 eccentric t chest presses w 225lbs
10 wide grip pull ups
20 kb walking shooting lunges
20 hanging knee raises

Total: 600m treadmill walk, 15 ecc...t-chest presses, 30 wide grip pullups, 60 walking lunges, 60 hanging knee raises

"StayHard Saturday" .... I had to make it quick today so I set my timer for 20 minutes and did AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) of 5 loaded chinups with a 25lb plate, 10 decline pushups w dumbbells and a 35lb plate on my back, and 15 Kang Squats (Good Morning & Squat Combo) with 135lb barbell. I increased the difficulty of what's called a Cindy WOD ( workout of the day) in the Crossfilt arena but with chinups instead of pullups. It's been a minute so I was quite winded but managed to do 5 rounds totaling 25 pullups, 50 decline pushups, and 75 Kang squats

"Athletic Day" ...The video below is from my "Athletic Day" archives because I wasn't able to record today's workout at Planet Fitness. I will redo it and record possibly next week and make it even more difficult. This type a squat with a chained 35lb kettlebell standing on top of 2 boxes w 125lbs on my back is actually very unstable and forces you to thrust from your hips as you should do when squatting

"Monday Mayhem" ... Home Edition...A 600 rep workout with very little rest. About 5-15 seconds between each set. I wasn't able to make it to the gym so I made the gym at home. Today I used a 10lb kettlebell but I could have just as well used a broom and a can of green beans. NO EXCUSES! I maximized the use of light weight by doing 200 reps per exercise. I did snatches, clean and jerks, and "around the world" squat and cleans. I did 4 rounds of each exercise and broke it down to 50 reps per round but that meant for the clean and jerks and snatches I had to do 100 reps so that each arm got 50 reps per round. A 600 rep workout that burned fat and built muscle at the same time #

"Stay Hard Saturday" .... The video below is not recorded as I would have liked but I am appreciative that a person took the time to record my workout. I'll list the exercises below in the order in which I had done them. I'm getting back into the swing of things adding more cardio into my workouts. Today I held 30lb kettlebells while I rode the bike for 1/2 a mile each round while holding myself upright which really pulled on my core, arms, and shoulders. I like getting a workout with my upper and lower body when doing cardio. Knocking out two birds with one stone

Today's workout consisted of 3 rounds of:

1/2 mile loaded bike ride w 30lb kb's at a resistance of 5
20 full windmills w 20lb db
20 band resistant push ups btwn 2 45lb plates to add more stretch in my chest
10 quick hang clean + press w 75lb bb
10 high pulls w 125lbs
10 band resistant Bulgarian squats on each leg

Total: 1.5 mile bike, 60 windmills, 60 pushups, 30 hang clean+press, 30 high pulls, 60 Bulgarian split squats

"Monday Mayhem" .... After my nieces 18th b-day gathering a few days ago I ran across the street not realizing that I haven't ran in months therefore instead of running it felt like my feet was slapping the pavement. And what's even crazier is my niece starting running track a couple days ago and she felt the same way. Hilarious! That's why I decided to run a little bit today. I can't allow myself to forget how to run

Today's workout consisted of only 3 rounds of:

Roughly 300 slightly elevated meter run
15 double kb snatches w 30lb kb's
15 renegade rows w 30lb kb's
15 hip thrust w 215lbs
10 hang cleans + press w 95lbs and 5 w 115lbs
15 elevated static lunges w 30lb kb's each leg
30 prisoner squats

Total: 900 meter run, 45 snatches, 45 renegade rows, 45 hip thrust, 45 hang clean + press, 90 static lunges, 90 prisoner squats
