Winston Academy Tennis! Home of the Patriot Players!
Tennis at WA has more championships than any other athletic program. We are Battle Tested and work to develop champions on and off the court. We play and practice at Ivy Park, Louisville, MS. Eight (8) courts in excellent condition...some of the best public courts in MS!
Mission: To foster a champions attitude within participants both on and off the court as well as to impart the gift of tennis as a sport for life.
Final practice before state championships went well. Olivia and Aspen are ready.

[04/02/19] 2019 is off and running with the WA Players off to a 2-1 start...and with no boys doubles this year! We are forfeiting 2 matches out of 9 each time we play. We have some incredibly strong girls and our mixed team of Blake Peterson and Lilly Sisson is our big gun. We are shooting to take a few teams to state! Thus far we've played Starkville, the powerhouse of our district this year, and fell 2-7, we defeated Canton 5-4, and we bested Leake 5-4; but the team wins are about to come to an end as we position our strongest players in the best positions for them to advance beyond district. Olivia Mayo and Aspen Harris, our young standouts from last season have not disappointed this year. They've been picking off wins in singles and doubles, and we're about to put them back together as a #2 doubles team. Anna-Grace Woolery and Claire Baskin are the #1 doubles team that is gaining steam and has the task of taking down last year's state runner up dbls team from Canton. It doesn't look like anyone will be able to overcome Starkville's girls 1 and 2 singles so our young up and coming talent will be in "learning" positions here. Adam Thomas our boys #1 singles continues to improve and only has 1 loss vs Starkville that we expect to get back in our next match with them. Joseph Easley, our #2 boys singles is coming into his own, and I expect to see more wins as he settles into his game. We see Heritage tomorrow, and they are still loaded with depth. We look to upset a few of their positions.
