Louisville MTB Short Track Series

We’ve got an epic final course set out. Come round out the series with us! It’s a beautiful day to race your bike!

The course is set up and we’re ready for some hot short track racing! Bring a cooler, some shade and a aero crop top and let’s have some fun!

We wanted to let you know we plan to race tomorrow, and if you didn’t see, the race that we had to call off last week is being made up on July 2nd. Things will be HOT, so bring water, shade, ice, etc to help you beat the heat and enjoy the afternoon. The sun will start to set and most categories will get a bit more shade from it, but the early races be prepared for super hot racing. We ask you to be responsible and not exceed your ability and be aware of how the heat is impacting your day/race/etc. We will have coolers, but they only stay so cold, be prepared!

Other than the heat, you will get new plate - make sure you run it as well as take your old plate off! Look for the Short Track tent to check in at. Everyone must register online, and if you do so today (Tuesday) you will save $5!

If you have time to help us set up we are going to try and knock it all out between 9AM -1PM. More hands the better, it’s going to hard due to all the heat, please help if you’re free, reach out if you have any questions. As always, help after the event to tear down is appreciated.

We will not be racing tomorrow - June 18th - at Eva Bandman Park. With many scattered t-storms in the forecast we feel the best race experience will come if we delay the event to July 2nd. June 25th (now race #3), is a go!

We are sorry to do this, but multiple weather apps are showing us storms starting during the racing hours. It may not rain a drop and be perfect… but we have to have some strategy for your safety and your enjoyment. For more transparency on it all… if we get set up, have a couple waves start, then have to call it off for the rest of the day we’re still out our park permit fee and medic fee, which is over $1,000. Moving it to July 2nd is looking to be the best bet at the moment.

If you have questions reach out. Registration pages are already corrected with dates/pricing/etc. If you can’t make the July 2nd date but signed up for the June 18th date let us know and we will refund it or transfer to the June 25th date.

Biggest bummer: You’ll have to wait to see what surprise has in store an extra week!

Shewwwwww racing this week was 🔥! We had an exciting race in the Men’s Pro field with lead changes and a sprint for third that was won with push. We had 143 total register racers, can we hit 200 for week 3?

Lots of new faces, a technical course with go around options, blue skies, smiling faces. Everything we want to see at short track. Congrats to all who came out and an extra pat on the back to all who learned some new skills and descended the rocks, stairs, log drop and other features around the course.

We can’t wait to do it all again next week!

We love seeing all the new faces at Short Track this year! In years past we have had a core group of volunteers who were able to come out early and help with course set up. It's a huge help at making this community event happen and putting on the best product possible. We would love to build a new group of volunteers to help out this year. We know sneaking out of work on a Wednesday isn't the easiest feat for most people but we would love to see anyone who can come out and help with course set up so our last race of the season goes out in style! Happy to buy you a post race beverage or comp an entry fee.
