Bardstown High School Bowling Team

Congratulations to both of the bowling teams for an awesome 2020 district tournament! The girls seeded 2nd and went to the wire in two close bakers games versus Nelson County to capture their 2nd district runner-up title. Sophomore Sophia Sharp topped all bowlers in the initial seeded game with a 178 and anchored the bakers team throughout the tournament. Freshman newcomer Makenzie Burgin stepped into the bakers match and performed well with a frame close percentage of 75%—earning both of them with All-District honors for the tournament.

On the boys side, the BHS team seeded first—with senior bowlers Zach Dickerson and Spencer Roggentine throwing top games of 278 and 234 respectively. Spencer continued his strong performance by closing 91.6% of his frames during the bakers portion of the tournament. Congratulations to both gentlemen for being named to the All-District team! The boys team completed a 3 game sweep of both Thomas Nelson and then Nelson County to bring home the hardware for their second District Championship!

What a great night for Tiger Bowling!! Up next is the Region Warm-Up bakers tournament this Saturday hosted by John Hardin at Dix-E-Town Lanes. Hope to see you there!!

Heads up ! The White Castle truck will be at Buzick's this Friday, SEPTEMBER 27th from 11-3 - a fundraiser for the Bardstown Bowling Team and the Unified Bowling Team. Come get your Crave-On and support them.

The BHS Bowling Squad was out and about today doing some pre-season bonding (😂) and work at the American Fuji Seal Employee Apprrciation Picnic!! Thanks to everyone who made it out today and helped our team work toward our season goals!!

Members of the BHS bowling team spent the afternoon volunteering at our local bowling proprietor’s facility helping with some clean up. We will be mowing and working weekly throughout the summer too!

The 2018-19 season has officially gotten underway! Last night our traveled to Taylor County for a match at Phillips Lanes. Although both teams came up short in the win column, we want to stop & congratulate Tiger Bowler Zach Dickerson for breaking the school record!! Zach bowled a personal best 240 last night in match play!

We also want to recognize Lady Tiger Bowler Tori Horn for bowling a PR of 142 in match play.

This season looks to be an exciting 2nd year for our bowlers! We look forward to sharing our results with everyone! Go Tigers!!
