The Louisville Tennis Center will have no instructional programs, junior's program, fast feed or tennis lessons on Friday June 10th. We encourage all athletes and instructors to honor the memory of Muhammad Ali with their attendance to his memorial.

Clearly, there are no lessons we could impart to our young athletes greater than understanding the teachings of Muhammad Ali.

Please join me in congratulating Andrew Klump. Andrew will graduate from St Josephs College on Derby Day and he is Valedictorian of his class. Big #1! Andrew has been accepted at the University of Louisville Law School.

Andrew began his tennis career at the Louisville Tennis Center in 2004. After being a student for many years and earning a scholarship to play tennis in college, he became a proud and dependable part of our staff.

Andrew worked his way through college here and has taken on more responsibilities including being a tournament coach to Eli Stephenson who has become the #1 player in the State for his age division.

Andrew exemplifies the the character and respect as a player and instructor we are most proud to have teaching tennis in our community tennis center. Unfortunately, we expect the demands of Law School after this summer will dictate that this is the last summer we will have him at our service.

I hope you will join me in making this a special summer for Andrew by demonstrating how much we appreciate his efforts to make this a great environment.

It is a pleasure to announce, Advantage Tennis and Fitness will remain open indefinitely.

Our management staff kept the Louisville Tennis Center from closing permanently in 2004 and turned it into the most profitable and most visited Metro Parks facility. We kept Plainview Tennis Center from closing permanently in 2012 and solidified a vibrant, dynamic facility with a bright future. We kept Advantage Tennis and Fitness from closing permanently in 2015 and it will now remain open and robust for the unforeseeable future.

We appreciate your confidence and patience as we navigated through a tremendous amount of misinformation. I wish to personally thank our staff for staying strong and on message.

Our strength is fueled by the positive energy from a supportive tennis community and the relationships we have developed with our customers.

The Louisville Tennis Center is officially closed for the season. 2015 was a great year of progress with a new shade structure, sidewalks, drainage, grill and a new roof on our building. We thank our great partners Metro Parks, TALK, and mostly the tennis playing public that supports our growth. It has been an honor to serve our community and we hope to keep it growing!

We loved having community center kids this week. Each day got better. We want to thank, Coach Mark Beckham-Head Coach University of Louisville Women's Team, FitzRoy Robertson-Head Pro at Plainview Tennis Center, Coach Tyler Worley-Bellarmine University Men's Team, Grace Jennings-2015 KY High School State Champion, Shawn Donahue-2013 KY High School State Champ, Andrew Klump-Player St.Josephs College and all the advanced players at LTC's juniors program that helped. This was a special week for all of us. Did I mention, we love the community center kids!
