The Kentucky Golf Association (KGA) is an allied Association of the USGA and the governing body of amateur golf in Kentucky.
The KGA's purpose is to serve our members, and to promote and grow the game of golf at all levels of play. The Kentucky Golf Association is an allied golf association of the United States Golf Association. The responsibilities of the KGA include overseeing the World Handicap System, administering Course Ratings, serving as experts for the Rules of Golf, conducting tournaments and USGA qualifiers, and also branding and marketing the game of golf in Kentucky.

Our Last Chance Qualifier takes place this Thursday at Elizabethtown Country Club as players compete for the final spots in the field.
The 112th Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Kentucky Amateur will be held June 16–18 at University of Louisville Golf Club. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

This past week, our Junior Tour intern Jakob Moore and our KGA intern Cameron Roush had the opportunity to attend the USGA’s Boatwright Summit in Liberty Corner, NJ. Throughout the week, Cameron and Jakob gained valuable hands-on experience and expanded their knowledge of championship setup and management, course rating, handicapping, and many other aspects of the game and golf administration. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the USGA for providing our interns with the opportunity to experience the Boatwright Summit!

It was a fantastic day of competition and we could not be more proud of the field that came out today.

The Kentucky Amateur Qualifier at Nevel Meade Golf Club is in the books! It was not without its challenges as weather forced a suspension of play yesterday, but our competitors came back out this morning and got it done.
Congratulations to the 30 players who punched their ticket to the 112th Clarks Pump N Shop Kentucky Amateur and to our 3 alternates as well, well deserved! Thank you to every competitor who stuck it out and gave it everything they had.
A special thank you to Nevel Meade Golf Club for working with us through the conditions and helping us get this qualifier completed, we could not be more grateful for their hospitality.
