How do you heal from heartache?

Ok I can’t cover that in ten videos, let alone one. But! Here’s a step that needs to take place early - you need to listen to what your heart, mind, body, and soul are trying to tell you.

Right now? They’re freaking out and yelling at you and it just feels like noise and you just tune it out. Why? Because we were taught to ignore our needs.

Ok, how do you listen? You need to be still. You need to not do anything else. No distractions - no phone, no book, no journal.

Just sit still and say to yourself - ok. I’m listening. What do you need to tell me?

It’s really, really hard at first. And they’ll probably yell at you at first. You have to calm them down (regulate your nervous system) and prove to them you’re listening.

Literally treat the collective like they’re a person in distress who needs your help but you don’t know what kind of help they need.

This was a long one. But it’s vitally important for your healing journey.

In an instant my world was shattered.

After 7 years of marriage my husband confessed to his betrayal.

I felt like I had lost everything. And I had no clue what to do.

I questioned EVERYTHING - especially my self-worth and my judgment.

I spent a lot of time avoiding healing. I ran from facing my pain. And I made a TON of mistakes.

Finally, I realized healing wouldn’t just happen. I had to do the work. So I dug in.

It took intention and it was hard work. But on the other side of it? I rediscovered my JOY. And I built a beautiful life for myself.

I’m inviting you to reflect and reset.

I had a client say that they didn’t know who they were and they were trying to figure it out.

I asked if they could shift their thinking and told them a powerful truth I discovered during my healing journey - You get to choose who you are.

In this season of winter, where we are encouraged to rest and heal, I invite you to think about who you want to be. Why? Then - think about what that person does every day. How do they speak? What do they think about? How do they treat others? How do they treat themself? What kind of environment do they live in? Etc.

You can start being that person today.

Will it be easy? Probably not. Will you suddenly flip a switch and be the all of the time? Unfortunately, no.

But you CAN tap into them. And you CAN rewire your brain. Slowly, consciously, and with intention.

May you find fulfillment in your life. Happy New Year!

Stop filtering your life for others.

Real life is messy, textured, random - and that is what makes it beautiful.

Yes we want the best angle for that photo. But I want to see your real smile. I want to see your hair out of place from the wind. I want to see your rolls - because those are part of bodies in motion.

This message is for me too. I’ve decided I’m going to stop being perfect for the camera.

Less takes. Less angle manipulation. Less sucking it in for the camera.

I’m here to show you how to live your life to the fullest and to find the most joy.

So let’s stop hiding our perceived imperfections. Let’s celebrate our uniqueness. We were divinely created and the universe chose us to be here as we are.

My glow up? Is deciding to be my authentic self. My healing journey? Incudes learning to love my body for all of the amazing things it can do, and all of the terrible things it’s withstood.

I am beautiful because I am.

You are beautiful because you are here.

So today - write down one thing you love about yourself - both your personality and mind, and your body.
